I created an ISO with NTLite v1.8.0.6942 (22nd May 2019) adding the CU 2019-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4497935) & make the MSDN/MVS BASE ISO from 18362.30 to 18362.145

I added other MS MSU packages like SSU, Adobe SU & IMU for 19H1 with other custom modification/tweak to the ISO.

I didn't use ResetBase & didn't clean up the updates from the toolbar of Integrate || Update section (set Clean Update Backup to the default None option

Still got this same Error 0x800f081f in windows update & can't install June's CU 2019-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4503293)

here is my preset, pls help. I am tired of making ISO & clean installation now. Already did 10 times for this 19h1 release.

used the latest v1.9.0.6996 to create the ISO, didn't add any update in update section, BASE ISO was 18362.175 MSDN (refreshed ISO), after modding & installing that ISO, still getting this Error 0x800f0988 while trying to install latest KB4501375 v207 over v175

2019-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4501375) -Error 0x800f0988

SM03, seeing a potential problem with Fax removal after the reboot (newer version doesn't have the error while applying), will investigate some more by Monday.
Thanks.

Okay, just to be clear, I used the newest BETA version v1.9.0.6996, not the STABLE v1.8.0.6996.

And I thought that removing either Defender or EDGE is causing the issue.

Will be waiting for your reply,

BTW, earlier I faced 0x800f081f error in WU as reported here on 17th June 2019 by me, since you didn't respond on that, so asking is that issue already resolved on v6996?

Fixed in next, it was the Fax removal.
Please wait until tomorrow's release, or I can send you pre-release, still have to check on a few reports to package it all up.

Thanks.

oh okay, I thought it might be due to the removal of either EDGE or the DEFENDER. Thanks, nuhi for your prompt reply. I'll be waiting for the final build by tomorrow. & yes, if you can remember our early conversations, pls implements those basic tweaks in NTLite in gradual upcoming updates like small desktop icon default settings & others as discussed earlier with you.

So, did you released that new version today yet or not? nuhi

Done just now. Let me know if you see any issues.
Thanks.

ok thanks, I'll try this out today later & let you know.

So that WU issue was only due to the FAX removal as per your investigation or something else is involved too?

BTW, can you suggest me which version should I use, stable 1.8 or beta 1.9 so that it won't break anything further?

Stable and Beta's with the same build numbers share the same improvements and fixes, Beta's will have a few experimental items in the testing stage. If you like try new tweaks and removals use the betas, if you aint fussed about those use the Stable branch. Ive had many good builds using betas.

I tested with v1.9.0.7025 today, and the result is still the same, same error as earlier while trying to update to v207 via WU

1. Update failed via Windows Update
1965

2. Manual update via the 2019-06 CU KB4501375 v207.cab failed too.
1967

Preset attached.

Confirmed, apologies, potentially I forgot to retest the full preset after finding that the Fax was breaking it and fixing that.
This time it's something else, testing now.

I'm having the same problem as SM03.
I use 18362.1 and after install I run an earlier CU with SSU. I then use the Remove Reinstalls option and all goes well. After pc reboots I attrempt to install a later CU and get the same error as SM03 (manual update or windows update) I'll attach my preset if that will help.
Me too. I told nuhi about this.

I think there's a lot more to investigate coz everytime i try to remove something in Components/ Network or Remoting - Privacy + System it gives error 0x800f081f when trying to update to latest CU. Maybe it's SSU/CU related files can't find the files which the CU packet files want to correct - i'm not that smart with programming/root investigating. Every other file offered by WU have no problem update - my preset - thanks
