evolve good luck with the Ryzen build :)

Not sure what you'd need on a AMD system

From the iso you'll prolly only need the cpu driver which is an MS drivver, the southbridge drivver is prolly out of date and the amd chipset drivver packages include a SB drivver. If in doubt test a default install, update with CU etc then run the amd chipset driver install package, it will prolly tell you which drivers need installing, you canusually deselect any before the install continues. Not sure about usb drivers, see what the amd installer says.

yea prolly a good idea to install default iso first, grab hardware profile and implement it in my xml.

Then process a new image to install!

I dont know what drivers are needed for w10 ryzen systems, it used 2usb, 1 usb filter, 1SB, 1iovmmu(if enabbled in bios) on 7, think 8.1 is usb filter SB and iovmmu for the old A88X chipset, the SB in an iso was always old.

Actually evolve, you could post what drivers are needed for your chipset(state chipset model) from the iso(updated) and from the chipset installer and post them, helpful for others :)

thanks dude cant wait to test some staff in new system and recording game footage while playing :p

was really thinking about it before posting my q here but i was lazy to go for it straightforward wants to see if there is simpler ways :p
To be fair I never ever tried it the way you described it. I would say better to install an already prepped iso, I'm not even sure doing it after install even executes the post-setup stuff properly or correctly
thats good point
short story: when i was running this profile on ltsb:D i found some of them crashing and not working i think this was because i was using them in wrong build and i was lazy to go and figure this out what is the problem:p

i think there is lots of programs like driver easy (there was one super good program i cant remember the name now) can find your needed drivers for usb and other staff with one click! am i wrong ?
and after installation i will run amd chipset driver and other staff usbs should working if windows default one not removed from the profile ?

since iam using very cheap chipset cuz i was so tight with my budget and dont wants to spend it for mainboard i dont think its helping other people since gamers mostly using this profile and they going for chipsets like x470 x570 etc..:D

Mhh, I'm not sure and it depends on the hardware, but other than gpu, sound and network it is often not necessary to install any third party and stick with W10 inbox drivers.

In my example, i have by default some handful of exclamation mark 'other devices'.

Most of which are Intel ME, SMBUS (maybe used for software fan control) and some others like vague pci memory controller, all of which are not required it seems.

I can i.e. install Samsung nvme drivers but nobody can tell me whether nvme timeout in powerplan still works after that. Cant really be assed with a few% extra performance for potential higher access times.

My method is; Do you need specific functionality? If not don't even touch it!

DriverMax? it used to be good. Snappy Driver Installer is good. A lot of mortals use lower end boards because high end are rediculous prices, i always use gigabytes Ultra Durable boards, i dont overclock and ive not had a bad one yet :)
oh that's it snappy driver was so good ;) rediculous prices but those looking good ommmm i like design of it so shiny

thats true iam going to do fresh install and take backup i think it should be ok will see what happens but first i need to get my hand on my cpu and all borders here are closed cuz of coronavirus might not getting it soon

wow i didnt know those can mess with powerplans can i take advanage of that lower access times in sata ssds with certain powerplan setting ?

Yes my profile contains exposed NVMe Timeout settings, those work with standard MS NVMe driver (assuming the device also adheres to this standard / supports these power states).

I know that installing Samsung NVMe driver adds a new timeout option but its hard to find out whether this all works properly, or doesn't screw up things.

I tested and the default MS NVMe driver works with the timeout settings anyway. Putting them on 0 increases temperature a few celcius, so thats why they are set to 0ms (Off) in High performance plan ;-)

oh i'am retarded that's for nvme drives only :)

Yea I think the AHCI settings in power plan deal with regular SSD's on SATA :)

However, now you mention it, there is a

Open Fabrics Alliance NVM Express Window driver for universal NVMe support, might be interesting to try out.

Edit: I heard samsung nvme driver 3.2+ really works great now though, might try it myself. But you'd need suitable hardware! :D

Followed the directions specifically but I still don't have an internet connection. Installed the drivers as well. The weird thing is that it shows I'm connected in the bottom right but I have nothing aside from that.

Probably because Outbound connections are blocked by default to let users set up their firewall solution first so MS doesnt make unsolicited outgoing connections.

Just reset firewall rules!

I personally use Windows Firewall Notifier which is extremely lightweight.

If you mean the classic control panel they used for decades? Just download a classic non DCH driver (And use nvslimmer on it optionally)

Nvidia inspector also handy ;)

Yea i usually click 'beta and others' if i cant find it. As long as the file name doesn't say DCH in it you're good.
