I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not but has this been modified to a point where even adding a bluetooth device is no longer possible? The connect device screen immediately disappears when opened...

I think so yes.

Its just a decision I made (mainly removed drivers most likely, can't be that significant)

Did you apply a hardware profile where bluetooth was installed and integrated that?

Yes, I missed the hardware profile. I was trying this out, I'll continue to tweak it. Initially the greatest thing for me is that there appear to be no significant DPC events caused by Windows kernel which is what I was looking for. If I can can keep it that way I'm very happy because I was looking for a way to work with real time audio processing properly and not having to buy a Macintosh. This is great work you have done here.

Edit: Oh, I'd like to add that the first time Bluetooth was installed and working at least according to device manager. The issue was the the bluetooth connection GUI was not working, but we'll see. I'm sure it can be dealt with somehow.

Thanks! Its a hackjob but it does serve some purpose hopefully :)

The build should be well suited for realtime audio stuff once you get the profile like you want to!

I've been trying to set this up for a while testing different things. My only real problem so far is that the wireless internet connection is not working. I only applied the Services and Extra Services from your preset to test if that was the case. It seems that is it. All drivers are just fine but it doesn't work.

Ethernet device states that Network cable is unplugged (Wi-fi itself is enabled) in control panel-network and internet-network connections. Obviously I do not have a network cable connected because I'm trying to use a Wifi connection (This laptop doesn't even have an external port for that - I think this is just how Windows is reporting this problem). Maybe that's still useful information.

Do you have any idea what services I should enable to get Ethernet & Wifi working again? What services are usually needed for networking? I really don't have any knowledge about Windows services.

WWAN service should is the only thing i need personally to get my wifi card working.

But aren't wifi drivers often big causes of dpc latency issues? Maybe these days not anymore.

I was able to figure out and get it working. I needed WLAN Autoconfig to be enabled. Turning WLAN off manually will alleviate the dpc latency issues in my experience. Most dpc latency issues can be dealt with in a regular Windows installation. Windows kernel has been my main problem, but your preset really shuts it down :)

I just need internet connection once in a while. It's impossible for me to even install my audio interface completely without an internet connection and many plugins need to be able to reach internet for registration.

Ok, I guess there's quite a learning curve to this but maybe it's worth it. Thanks again. Let's see if I can get all my software running. At least Cantabile already works with vsts. That was probably my main goal.

Also: I think installing the net framework cumulative update in ntlite messes a few things up because some of the startup/post-setup commands are looking for ngen.exe from an older directory which will be removed by the cumulative update (at least I think so).

Oops my bad WLAN not WWAN! Tired :p
Glad you figured it out.

You are right about the .NET tasks, literally noticed this a few days back.

The v2.x folders are now empty so 2 of the 4 can be deleted I guess!

I don't do much with audio other than managing my two audio cards and install EqualizerAPO onto them, so at least windows apo's work fine on audio :)

Besides that playing my music files with Winamp, not a single hiccup! :)
