Something in the post-install is disabling internet connectivity for me. I just removed all of them for now, but any idea what it could potentially be?

did you get wifi working ? wifi is missing from mine

Yeah WIFI is working. I posted what is needed a while ago but basically you need have the WLAN Autoconfig service on. It has a bunch of dependencies. Run... services.msc and right click on the service. Choose properties(?) and there a dependencies tab. If I remember correctly Windows Connection Manager was the only dependency that had to be enabled. Others were maybe already on automatic...

MT_ Thanks a lot for this great job, I just finished reading all this forum :) and also successfully applied the preset, during my reading I read about cloning software that was not working ok (acronis true image), a question about it: When you clone a windows like this, are some values, regs or other stuff that is possible to be lost? I am using CD and sometimes the cloned PCs have some performance issues, for example, sometimes I have to reinstall the video drivers (not always), well I don't know much about cloning but I have to do this, hope can gain some time asking you.

thanks again for your work, I learned a lot! and please keep it in a "gaming mode"

Most cloning software can make use of Windows volume shadow copy (preferred), which should retain everything but a few excluded files which are set here;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore

If it uses its own method I cannot guarantee anything :)

Backup software should work, but if you have any issues we can try and solve it!

Since you (MT_) seem to tweak this a bit I noticed that the developer mode wasn't on after installation. That's a minor thing but something you might want to consider making a default (unless there are downsides to it, I don't know).

I think developer mode screws with anti cheat? Not sure. Lots of bcdedit stuff does.

First, thank you for creating this profile, much appreciated.

Can the changes be reversed in ntlite easily enough?

As a suggestion, it would also be handy to list what tweaks are done by using the .reg files, saves trawling through them to find that out ;)

Gonna try it tonight on my 'en-uk windows 10 enterprise ltsc 2019 x64 dvd 723dfbc1' version, will report back as to how it goes.

Can someone help me make this iso? I never used ntlite and wanted to try this gaming version

I would like if someone could to a video or something

Watch this as an introduction:

Using this preset is actually a little easier if you don't need to change anything but you need to just try and learn. Took me 4 full days to get a working version of this for me...

Updates packs you want to integrate first (download from microsoft websites, use google): kb4530715, kb4523204, kb4537490. I would save an iso with the updates integrated first and work with that, but that's just a preference maybe.

Read this thread aslo.

Hi MT_ ,
Applied your preset 1.05c on an updated LTSC, used HW List my laptop and installed just fine but as you said USB2.0 ports don't work.
Is it possible to re enable them after installation?

Yes. The drivers are usbehci, usbohci and usbuhci, and usbhub.

These aren't necessary for USB3 controller yet windows seems to sometimes enable them anyway, thats why they are disabled by default.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Try to put their Start value to 2.

Thank you now I have happy USB 2.0 ports

MT_ i would advise against disabling usb2 stuff on 7 because it doesnt have native ms usb3/3.1 drivers(unlike 8.1 annd 10). it could affect kb/rodent and usb optical drives. i have heard that some usb audio interfaces dont play well on usb3/3.1.

I installed also Process Lasso and based on very initial testing it seems to reduce latency spikes somewhat on my system. Something to consider.

I've noticed that there is some latency spiking that Latencymon does not reveal but I can hear it (I'm trying to run my audio setup with the lowest possible input/output latency) when my CPU usage is around or over 20%. Process Lasso seems to affect this. Also the Process Lasso monitoring initially looks a little better than Latencymon's.

Could be anything, hardware combo, maybe bcdedit setting.

No such thing observed here, but thanks for the report!

Ah. Do you see audio stuttering or some sort with lasso in background? You sure its not something lasso is changing on processes? audiodg.exe or something?

MT_ Do you have any idea why drive name greyed out when right clicked to safely remove device on taskbar?
In short, I cannot safely remove usb devices
