evolve ryzen 4000 may be hitting the shelves soon according to wccf and techpowerup. 8 lovely cores in a single unit, not the old 3+3 or 4+4 configs so no fabric latency. B550 matx start from £80 at my usual place.

nice to hear hope there be good battle between intel and amd for future years, and good for you and people can go for it also ryzen 4000 was much better choice for me to buy but since iam living in a place with destroyed economy and super terrible national currency value, i had no other option to afford, and wait for 4000, especcialy with covid 19 pandemic and delays in shipments

i wont be switching to ryzen 4000, i am happy with coffee lake/refresh/gt710(i can use 7 and 8.1). im not constantly chasing frame rates or benchmarking scores so i am happy to stay CFL for the next x? years with my 880k as a test bench.

Help yourself :)

Lots of tweaks can probably be used for security measures, but there is of course way more that can be done.

Other than holes in programs, my personal installation has 0.0% network activity other than the essentials (ARP, DHCP etc)

I even fetch root certificates manually on demand.

Not a single service that goes through, firewall closed down as tight as possible.

For my own convenience, I added a firewall context menu so I can easily allow executables to open commonly used outbound ports to either internet or local.

I think if you want actual maximum LOCAL security as well it probably requires a bit more than NTlite. (Think scripting, actively purge registry keys or more tweaking so that it stops logging file location traces like MRU Bags) but it also comes with subtle downsides.

Obviously encrypt your whole OS, adjust ACL's on drives (Like remove Users group from everything)

The list is not endless but there is much else to be done :)

you would need tweaks for a full default install and a list of components that you could remove, all user scenarios are covered then.

MT_ i noticed with some security stuff that they need to see certain registry entries so if you run them they report that X needs ticking. run the tweaks 1st then use whatever "special sauce" you need.

I can't seem to sign into MS store and the Xbox app, they run but cannot function properly without signing in. I must have done something wrong because this is too big of an issue if MS Store and Xbox app are supported.

The two programs run fine but clicking the login button does nothing, thus defeating the purpose of the programs when I can't download anything without an account logged in. I really only care about being able to download Xbox Game Pass titles, I'm also afraid I'll have download problems even if I do sign in, like the infamous Xbox Game Pass error(this plagued my original full install of Win10). But obviously I can't get to testing that when even in my VMs, I cannot sign in to those applications.

I've done all the directions including running the bat in MS Store and Xbox folder after install. Tested to see if it functioned well before the other post-install regs, etc. Still cannot sign in and download games, even when I don't mess around with anything.

I later thought it had something to do with allowing MS accounts, so I allowed MS accounts under Settings->System but no dice. Am I missing something like a service being disabled that is needed? Or is there a reg that could impact this?

First time using someone else's xml and regs, usually do my own(and not mine were certainly not this complex) so I apologize if I made a obvious mistake, I'm still learning.

Edit: Rather than banging my head on testing, I decided to search again and found this. If this was removed it seems likely this is it. Haven't tested it myself yet, in b4 it wasn't even removed.

proxyfox, let's continue here.

For everyone else, please post general NTLite issues in a new thread or I must close this topic, since it became a forum on its own and that is not readable for me to support.
Will discuss with the thread owner how to proceed, at first locked it then changed my mind as it seems valuable for what it was mainly supposed to be.

Thanks.
