Windows 11

22000 is 21H2's GA branch. Whenever a new Windows is planned, it gets new branches for Stable, Insider and Dev.

22621 is Insider until 9/20, when it gets switched to GA. Preview will switch to the monthly patch cycle previews.
22622 is 22621, but with hidden features exposed for public review.

25201 is highlighting the next Enablement (now called "22H2 Moment 1"). Moment 2 will be next year. Moment 1 is when you'll see the real UI changes everyone's waiting for.

I think they removed ability to turn off suggestions on start completely... This doesn't work anymore

Hide recommendation is only available & possible in Win11 Enterprise or Education edition, since the 22H2 build branch & onwards

which option you're referring to precisely? Can you share a SS from Windows Settings or GPO?

Have you tried changing it using ViveTool/mach2?

Security by default

With Windows 11, version 22H2 we are enabling additional features and expanding the number of devices for which security is enabled by default. Devices with Intel 8th generation chipsets and higher will have virtualization-based security (VBS) and hypervisor-protected code integrity (HVCI) enabled by default. For devices running Windows 11 Enterprise, we are also enabling Windows Defender Credential Guard, using virtualization-based security to greatly increase protection from vulnerabilities in the operating system and prevent the use of malicious exploits that attempt to defeat protections.

Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 11, version 22H2
(available Sept. 23)
While natively accessible via the C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\ folder in Windows, administrative template files can be downloaded separately and used to populate policy settings in the user interface of Group Policy tools, allowing you to manage registry-based policy settings.
Group Policy settings reference spreadsheet for Windows 11, version 22H2
(available Sept. 23)
This spreadsheet lists the policy settings for computer and user configurations included in the ADMX files delivered for Windows 11, version 22H2. You can configure these policy settings when you edit Group Policy Objects.

Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK) for Windows 11, version 22H2

The Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK) and Windows PE add-on provide tools to customize Windows images for large-scale deployment, and to test the quality and performance of your system, its added components, and the applications running on it. Updates to the ADK for Windows 11, version 22H2 include:
  • The Windows Performance Recorder (WPR) can now enable event providers in the system session. We have also added a compress trace option for the stop command in WPR and WPRUI.
  • Windows Performance Analyzer (WPA) now supports plugins built on the Software Development Kit for the Microsoft Performance Toolkit. In addition to table and graph improvements (quick filter supporter, customizable colors), WPA features a new, modern UI with dark mode, font scaling, improved search, high DPI support, and accessibility improvements.
Note: As Windows 11 is not available in a 32-bit architecture, 32-bit versions of Windows PE are no longer included in the Windows PE add-ons starting with Windows 11, version 22H2.

Installed 22H2 for windows 11. Went through install then said it couldn't finish and reverting changes. After that black screen when restarting and nothing I did could remedy it.

Just ended up system restoring and that fixed the issue. Not sure what caused it but going to hold off for a bit

Doesn't work on Pro.
Yeah, I know that because when this feature was first introduced in and for 22H2 2262x build branch, I tested all & that turn of GPO only worked in ENT & EDU, not worked in Pro version in my prior testing & I updated the same here somewhere as I can remember, probably on this same OP/Thread.

that function is strictly Edition/SKU restricted (at least as of now)

As you mentioned here lately about ViveTool command, & as I did;t use ViveTool for that, hence asked. Thanks for confirming.

I really like using home edition with light UWP app edits. its the smoothest experience for me. Such a simple feature, restricted from normal edition users. I personally hate using 3rd party softwares for a simple change. there are tools like sib and explorerpatcher. shame.

if you have a GeForce card, its likely that, I installed it on my Intel-based Mini (which I use for testing) and had no issues, but when I installed on my main notebook, which has a GeForce, the thing seized up HARD.

is there any way (options) yet to set/configure these highlighted settings via NTL while modding an ISO?
remove this via reg in ntl.png

I got it to work by doing the iso upgrade way. Shouldn't have been necessary if things worked in the first place like they usually do. First time having issues with windows 11 updates

Changing the START layout reg option available IKTR, I've been already using that via REG file
but here I asked for both of those options availability in NTLite

Moreover, no REG setting is available for the second one (Show recently added apps toggle) eleven forum thread link here
PM'ed Shawn (Brink, the Admin of eleven forum) for that, he just confirmed that & I quote
Unfortunately, Process Monitor doesn't show a registry change for this setting. :(

I asked nuhi to add the first one (START layout) in NTL
Let me know if anyone found anything regarding the second one (Show recently added apps toggle)
