Windows 11

crypticus, why not share a write-up on repacking apps which don't have good installers? Even if it's not for casual users, it will provide good ideas. And it avoids the question "can I trust this executable?"

One of the Discord geeks told me he uses NSIS to make his own installers.

NSIS and repackers are unnecessary... I can create a guide when i'm free np :)

22H2 - 22621.608 is the most broken Windows 11 build released yet. nearly all the antivirus softwares known failed to even start after update. they all released hotfixes but still there are lots of windows security and av related problems going on. Despite real time scan features are enabled in avs, system doesn't recognize it.

I ended up delaying my updates for two years till I see something worth updating too

I think following behind one version is the best way to avoid problems. right now w10 is perfected with little ntlite edit.
when w12 is out upgrade to w11
I am with Windows 11 22H2 right now going steady but sometimes she can be annoying by not putting out haha

So you did not end up delaying your updates for two years.
After I got 22H2 I delayed, I got her exactly where I want her. She puts out well so don't want to mess it up ☺️

To put a bit more explanation to it, 22H2 could not be installed correctly unless I formatted the system and installed it clean. Hense why I had so many issues.

Whether thats in updates - may 2021 to june 2021, os build series ie w10 1809-1903 or by OS itself - w10 v w11.
An OS needs time to mature, forums and dev's to find out all the ins and outs and for ms to pull their thumb out of their arses and get s--t fixed.

Oh personally I want to wish for a modular operating system where you get the basics in what an operating system needs and you can customize your os by downloading what you need to install for you own needs.

22h2 have lots of known bugs with other unknown bugs... such as large file copy speed bugs to security center bugs... i wouldn't trust on it.

Format solved some of my issues with 22H2 then NTLITE did the rest. Low latency, smooth, been the best(for me personally since a long time of having micro issues).

As I said before I am leaving updates and my system the way it is now. Why break something now that works very well for me.

Side question, does anyone like the new task manager? I find it better in some aspects but worse in others.

does anyone like the new task manager?
Does that include TM in w8.1 and onwards? TM on w8.1 and onwards sucks monkey balls. Luckily w7 TM works perfectly on 8.1 and w10 1809.
IF w7 TM is not possible i would prefer Process Explorer.
