Windows 7 - Updates Download List 2018-02

No. Is it necessary?
Probably
KB2999226 is an update released on 10/12/2015, not shown in Windows Update and in Ms Catalog is only available for Vista and Server 2008, i can add it later with a note, as a Hotfix By Request (HBR).

About this update

The Windows 10 Universal CRT is a Windows operating system component that enables CRT functionality on the Windows operating system. This update allows Windows desktop applications that depend on the Windows 10 Universal CRT release to run on earlier Windows operating systems.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 creates a dependency on the Universal CRT when applications are built by using the Windows 10 Software Development Kit (SDK). You can install this update on earlier Windows operating systems to enable these applications to run correctly.

I don't care about this warning, if you read the KB info, that would be when you install the update, not when is integrated and, if you read all KBs, most of them have warnings (known issues) but are not included, read known issues in this KB info as an example (KB3125574 not included/necessary in the list but when is in the integration list, there is no warning that applies for integration/installation).

For CLR:
I haven't tested to enabling that tweak, have you tried to enable it and see if that update is still needed?

January 2018 rollup was already integrated when I got that notice from installing latest Libreoffice with ninite.com installer.

Just to bring clarity into this.

This was in the x64 list
Wrong architecture (x86): default (C:\Updates\Win7-x64-Main-Updates\Windows6.1-KB2639308-x86.msu)

The updates list has been updated.

Is not tested yet but 3 old updates has been removed/replaced (1 contains CEIP).

Kasual, please correct me if I'm wrong...

If I am understanding this thread correctly, one does NOT need to download, install, and run WSUS. Rather, one only needs to download one of the update lists text files you attached to your first post in this thread and then download all the updates listed inside that text file. Then edit the downloaded file, removing comments and deleting updates, such as telemetry etc, that you do not want. A suggested way to easily download all those updates is to use a download manager such as Free Download Manager and direct the download manager to fetch each file, listed as an URL, in the download text file. (In my case, I used DownThemAll by clicking on the Import from File button on the lower left side of the window, and then browsing to the update text file, opening it, then specifying the download directory.)

Once all the updates have been downloaded, one would launch NTLite, and direct it to update the install.wim file with all those updates (i.e. point NTLite at the downloaded directory and turn it loose.)

Is this correct?

Thank you for all your work collecting and collating all these Windows updates.

uhm just a quick question (I'm new to slipstreaming, sry)

what about sp1 (kb976932)?
is the list meant to be used on an sp1-w7 iso? or is it optional?
or rather, does the list include everything that is featured in sp1? (I guess this is the case since IE11 is listed too)

also, big thanks for your work/list. I was relying solely on WSUS offline and the last rollup messed up some stuff, I hope I get everything back to normal again until tomorrow.

Highly likely its for an image with SP1 already integrated, seeing as they are the type availible.

oh okay, thanks for the clarification!

Kasual will give you a definitive answer but if i am correct SP1 was released not long after windows 7 release and all download links are for SP1 iso's and there are updates that wont install unless SP1 is there anyway.

Thanks @Clanger.

The list is meant to be used on an Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 but i already added the links to the post (not to the lists), for anyone who don't have the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 source.
