Yep, when I type something, the search returns nothing (it's empty, like in the screenshot). Search in Windows Explorer works fine, though. I might end up integrating Classic Shell.
That's what I was talking about. Installing cumulative updates (not integrating them) will resurrect removed components.
Well, now I have narrowed down the list. Local search in the Start Menu broke down after removing one of these components:

It seems 1903 support is still in progress. I also had this problem with the Start Menu, in which the search interface was blank. Programs and Features didn't work either. I reported those problems here.
Hey, that worked, but after rebooting, Programs and Features crashes when trying to open it directly, requiring the workaround again. Regarding the previous problem, I enabled Windows Update, but Microsoft Store found no updates.
