Update: Removing that particular from the process seems to have allowed it to go beyond the update integrations. So, definitely an issue with that update it seems.

This. I don't believe it's a problem with the update as it installs fine on a vanilla copy of Windows. It only fails if I remove system apps using NTLite.

I've just had a look on my PC and it seems the July update is also failing now. I believe that the (5) is where it's tried to install the update 5 times.

The next cumulative update should be out next Tuesday (if Microsoft are still continuing Patch Tuesday 2nd Tuesday of the month). I'm going to try the method in my original post. No integrating updates, just removing Windows Apps and see if the update fails.

That's fine, but the issue still remains unanswered as to whether future updates (July, August, September etc) will fail or not.
