Gamers section?

What about a gamer section subforum where most q's be asked regarding this issue?
Not everyone here is a game addict and use NTL for serious purposes!

There is now a Guides section where the GamerOS thread was moved, it should compartmentalize most of those kinds of posts.
I haven't noticed gaming-related questions being predominant to say the least. There was that issue of Accessibility Tools being needed for 2 games which was surprising and pulled in a bit of interest, that was fixed in the latest update.

Do keep me up to date with a bit more explanation what is being annoying as time goes.

Maybe my mistake - but when I log into the NTL forum, Questions and Reports appear at the top. That would be the first thing I would look for as a new user with the problems I have. Admits that we who are members of the forum, depending on how we can contribute and/or use the forum together, stand up to how our NTLited image should act, should know how we think we know Windows challenges should be addressed. The problem is just that Windows way and behave changes all the time, with every update.
So just to say:
NUHI you are doing a fantastic job - have so much respect for your work.

Thanks francis, do let me know if you see room for improvement.
As for the forum, there is now a Guides section under the Questions and Reports, we'll see if it is enough to segment the beginners and those wanting to go deeper in a subject.
You can always get isolated and pro support over the email :)

It is surprising how much Windows changes under the hood, while on the surface it all looks very similar to Windows 7 with another UI theme.
My guess in a few years we'll be the last offline users out there, people will stream their OS-es or something along those lines.

Something similar to the many minimal linux iso's where you need an internet connection, basically a boot.wim and thats it.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I know - I'm just afraid that the weak-willed will be guided towards tablets - unfortunately.
The same ones who can't get their everyday life to work without having their heads buried in their mobile phones, where they think they'll get everything presented to them from an App???.
But on which dish?
And at what cost to privacy?
The blissfully ignorant always feel good about themselves

Those linuxes are something I condemn vehemently. Irony of all, Android, the most well adapted system for always online use is also the easiest to install and keep offline, as well as the least internet-dependent.

Not everyone games, so i reject your theory and substitute my own.

Many users here just want a debloated and streamlines OS. Gaming wise is too broad a spectrum to cover as newer games = newer changes.
"debloated and streamlines OS" - this is also perfect for gaming.

Besides, a little look around the forums you would have seen THIS .......

Looking through the forums before posting is always advisable ;)

NTLite forums is a small place. I think it's better not to have a dedicated Gamers subforum, since it would get out of control with non-NTLite questions. Changes made to your image will break all apps, not just games. But it's OK to share "this game needs [feature] to run".

In the end it's nuhi's site.
