Having trouble getting Win 7 on a Gigabyte H410M S2H

I have a Gigabyte H410M S2H motherboard with an Intel 10th gen CPU.
Trying to load Windows 7 on it as the hardware attached to this board requires Windows 7 and no it does not work in Winodws 10.

I have the official ISO from M$ and have downloaded a load of drivers from Intel and Gigabyte's website.
Managed to get the USB working but can not for the life of me get SATA drives to show up.

The preinstalled Chinese Windows 7 has drivers for everything.
The driver they used is "标准 AHCI 1.0 串行 ATA 控制器". https://www.mediafire.com/file/8hm801km1z446qv/
When I try to install it during Win7 setup, it fails. No error was given. I suspect it is because the driver is not signed.

I have also tried to slip it into the Win7 ISO using NTlite and it says it is not found?

Does anyone have any ideas?
Stuck on this issue for 2 days now.

I have no knowledge about this motherboard, maybe the usual suspects can help. W7 might not work from missing drivers.

For the listed drivers, they're native to Windows 7 (or SP1). You don't need to copy them from another source.

Thanks for that. I must be wrong about these drivers being the ones I need then.

you got 3 versions of that board
Capturec.JPG
what works on 1 may not work on the others and the boards are listed under H410 H470 and H510.
highly likely you wont get w7 working properly, your only choices will be 8.1 or 10 and even 8.1 will have some missing drivers.

think think think ultraforms buddy has 7 working on a z490 chipset, i might be wrong though.
try mdl and win-raid.

I checked Gigabyte's W10 drivers, and the supported device ID's don't match anything from Intel's RSTe AHCI & RAID drivers v15.9.8.1050 (which is the last release for W7). You can try them, but I don't think it will work.

Maybe a compatible PCI SATA card would work, but at lower speed.

Here is the HW list from the current Windows 7 install on that motherboard.

only clanger can help you with any of your win7 queries.
he or she or whatever gender is showing how much guts he or she have in win7 in all ways via images & other stuff.

i am not an uber geek. i only know whats what with my hardware. i supply proof, undoctored screenshots, lists, presets/whatever so sceptics can see that what i claim is real and not just hearsay.

Got it working.

I installed the OS on a 6th gen Intel box and forced the network driver to install.
I could then boot and RDC into the 10th gen box and install the drivers it needed.

Just trying to permanently disable driver signature enforcement now so I can get the other hardware working...

Thanks for your help all!

Starting from win 7, I have used to run the same (DD's) OS in other machines.

The same way you have installed win 7 in intel's 6th gen box just move the drive to the intel's 10th gen box.

WinAero would help to remove the driver signature, I have it done for win 11 (set to reboot and select boot without the "driver signature check").

Did you try RST_x64_17.9.6.1019
For this driver package, iaAHCIC.inf supports A382 devices but it's missing iaStorAC support.
Which means the base controller might work, but without the Intel storage features. Probably not a huge loss.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A382&CC_0106.DeviceDesc = "Intel(R) 400 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller"
