LTSC 2021

I liken it to a 'stinking festering pile of rotten dung', but perhaps?, that is being too kind :)

Not your 'theme', lol, Win11.

i have moved these from their original location.

Windows 10 LTSC 17763.2114 - 20210911 - testing inside a vm.
Net 3.5 enabled, Net 4.8 and 5.0.9 installed. OS still has full networking and Printer/Scanner functionality.
Windows 10 LTSC 17763.2114 - 20210911a - Bareboned Services. No networking or Printer/Scanner functionality, airgapped.

This is LTSC 2021. LTSC 2021 looks about the same as 2019(1809) and should be capable of the same results, give or take a few each way taking new additions into account.

Clanger i am looking for something that gives me maximum performance for competitive games. disassemble without doing damage.

I tried win7 but it does not read me the mouse and keyboard in the language change installation screen. also integrating usb drivers

slaver01 you need to add usb drivers to boot.wim - microsoft windows setup. keep any further w7 drivers for another thread, keep this ltsc1809/2021 only, thank you :)

LTSC 2021 19044.1288 - Recommended Scheduled Tasks - keep/keep at Default settings.

\Microsoft\Windows\Device Information\Device
\Microsoft\Windows\Device Setup\Metadata Refresh
\Microsoft\Windows\Plug and Play\Device Install Group Policy
\Microsoft\Windows\Plug and Play\Device Install Reboot Required
\Microsoft\Windows\Plug and Play\Sysprep Generalize Drivers
\Microsoft\Windows\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\SvcRestartTask
\Microsoft\Windows\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\SvcRestartTaskLogon
\Microsoft\Windows\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\SvcRestartTaskNetwork
\Microsoft\Windows\UPnP\UPnPHostConfig <-- i keep this for router and network audio player(using lan).
\Microsoft\Windows\USB\Usb-Notifications

Note - LTSC 1809, .2114, Update Orchestrator task and service are linked, disable and stop the service then disable the task, the service will re-enabled the task otherwise. im expecting the same on 2021.

Clanger, can you share presets you used for those testings? Btw, I can't find LTSC 2021 on Microsoft website, I downloaded ISO version build 19044.1288 you recommended but it got me all editions for 21H2 exept enterprise one

chiefkief there is no preset because it was all done live and manually on a default test install with the en-us .1288 iso and what i did there is only a quick test to compare with ltsc 1809 to judge its potential and give my initial thoughts here for you lot. havnt finished yet, you will know when i have ;)
have sent pm.

Also always keep this task
CloudExperienceHost>CreateObjectTask

Or OOBE will fail, and even if you skip oobe errors, you won't be able to create any user even with unattended.xml.

Preview updates are intended for testing, it's like an Insider Build for patches. Unless you're an IT pro, wait for the monthly.

nope i don't remove it, i only do soft editing removing "the annoying stuff", for future compatibility...
btw that scheduled task should stay or else as i said, oobe errors are going to be all over.

edit: "component one" protected under oobe? out-of-box experience i mean... it is needed?

It's optional because the majority of Enterprise users bind to local domain servers. Azure AD is for remote workers, so they can authenticate without having to VPN. I would guess removing CloudExperienceHost (OOBE) deletes that task.

The only people who care otherwise are Office 365 users.
