NTLite cannot put the following updates into Windows 8.1 ISO

Hello,

I am using the latest of NTLite and need to put the following updates into the ISO File for Windows 8.1 but when I try NTLite shows warning and error that windows 8.1 does not need the updates, but when I run windows update it lists the updates that NTLite says windows 8.1 does not need.

The updates that NTLite says that windows 8.1 does not need are; KB3097997, KB2565063, KB 5003781, KB 3013769, KB3179574.

Any help would be great.

Hi,

The new method is much better at detecting incompatibilities, at the end it is the Windows which gives the error, it's up to us to find out why.
Let's pick the first one to simplify for now.

KB3097997 is for .NET 4.5.1 and 4.5.2, it should not be mandatory as it was replaced by .NET 4.8.

Do you integrate .NET 4.5.1 or .2 into the image, or maybe install after to trigger that WU listing?
The .NET 4.5.2 is probably KB3011110, so maybe try adding that package as well, if it isn't.
Still if possible to avoid .NET 4.5.2 and use 4.8, that would be better - then would be puzzling if you get 4.5.x updates offered.

If you do integrate 4.5.2 already, then please attach or send me that preset so I see about update integration ordering (.NET 4.5.2 package should be integrated before additional updates automatically for them to be applicable to the image).

We can then move on to the next ones.
 
It's known problem with Windows Update. In some situations MS still offering superseded updates. Solution is to integrate all updated that are offered and then CleanUpdate backup.
 
net 4.8 for w8.1 is an update, not the "all os exe" installer, so it should go in on the Updates page. cant remember if it has any prerequisites though. i got a Windows 8.1 thread around here somewhere, "might" have some info there. look for a link on my Interesting Stuff page.
 
Can you help me using the downloader, do I add the ISO files first into Ntilte ? if not how do I use the downloader.
