Remove existing scheduled tasks (BitLocker) question

Hi, just wondering if I remove the bitlocker scheduled task on windows 11 will it stop the automatic encryption?
I'm trying to get it working with eDrive hardware encryption, but it seems to want to default to software encryption by default.

Overview of BitLocker Device Encryption in Windows

Microsoft recommends that BitLocker Device Encryption be enabled on any systems that support it, but the automatic BitLocker Device Encryption process can be prevented by changing the following registry setting:

• Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BitLocker
• Value: PreventDeviceEncryption equal to True (1)
• Type: REG_DWORD

Integrate this reg key into install.wim, as encryption is normally started during OOBE.
