Shocked - Merely Enabling PostSetup in NTLite Breaks Start Menu and Search of LTSC 2021 IoT

I'm going to share with you the relevant files, because when I apply the files manually post setup and restart, start menu and search are fine, but when applied with NTLite, NTLite breaking start menu and search. Came about this discovery when debugging. I'm absolutely floored. The only difference between the build that works and the one that doesn't is literally the application of postsetup with all the files that are attached. Obviously the files within postsetup.7z are applied. Once again when applied manually post setup and performing a restart, start menu and search work fine. Something weird is going on here.

But I have reason to believe earlier versions affected too - how far back unknown.

No I have not because it doesn't seem to make sense.
The files themselves are ok, proven by post setup manual application and restart.
So something about the software interacting with LTSC 2021 IoT, I believe is causing the problem.
 
Ill tell you what, let's just apply the commands without the additional files see if that works and if it does then that would warrant further debugging on my behalf.
 
Maybe older versions weren't applying your additions correctly.

I'll test them in a bit and reply my findings, currently on something else.
Btw if your regs or commands are disabling UAC, or some other services, it's easy to break Metro/Modern UI like Settings and Search.
Live it can work, but offline (image) is another story.
 
ok so with the 3 postsetup: unlimited accounts, hibernation off and compression....all is fine...debugging commencing.
 
Confirmed. As previously stated, when add.reg is applied post setup, the start menu and search function remain intact.
Examining add.reg closely now.

edit: Yeah it's part of UAC, will add the warning in its description, NTLite - Settings page already has it.

Btw you can add the offending bit(s) after setup, REG in the Post-setup page instead of Registry integration.
That way it can be applied at the end when it does not wreck havoc.
I'll do the same for the UI option, whatever is found here and confirmed on my side.
I'm still on another test, but yes, halving apply is the key.

When applying add.reg on the post-setup page, the issue goes away, start menu and search work.
Good I will try just keeping those entries you have mentioned.
