System reserve storage: Windows 10

I did a recent install with 2.0.0.7580 and I notice a reduction of the system reserve space from 570MB downto 50MB. Nor did I see a recovery partition, which I never did see one. I resize the system reserve space to 1.0gb by using the mini-partition tool (third party).

Secondly, has microsoft reduced the size of the space? I was under the impression that there was a minimum size for the updates to apply correctly.

Note, I did not use your disk partition tool, which I assume would have entries in the autounattend.xml file.

Maybe my question wasn't clear:

Did the ntlite tool make changes that would account for the size reduction in system reserve space. Please note a did an exhaustive search on the internet in regards to system reserve space.

I do use the host refresh method when updating my PC when new updates come out.

I have included my current preset. Note I do not use the disk partitioning tool included with ntlite.

Hi,

since you haven't disabled "Reserved storage" under Settings, it should be as the default Windows would do.
Since Win10 2004 you can also Enable/Disable reserved storage after install with NTLite. Right-click C:\Windows on the Source page for choice.

Microsoft did change their Recovery Partition (not the same thing) policy recently, see here.
