W11 Cumulative Updates (March 11, 2025)

Anything important in that? I took a quick look but it seems once again I will just wait for 23h3
H3? What Marvel-verse do you inhabit??

23H2 will be a Feature Enablement, which means install Oct 2023 CU and the Enablement package -- and reboot. No need to re-image.

Windows is closed today, pack up and get out of here.... lol

I meant 23H2. Wasn't planning on reimagining was just waiting for it to come out and do all the updates at once instead of small ones here and there.

NOTES : Home and Pro editions of Windows 11, version 22H2 will reach end of service on October 8, 2024. Until then, these editions will only receive security updates
thank you. Borrowing your words.
22h2 and 23h2 use the same kernel. Does this mean that the 22h2 patch can be used with the 23h2 patch? Just like Win10 21h2 can use patches for 22h2.

That's great, we don't need to worry about the support time for 22h2.
What is the significance of Microsoft doing this? Separate 22h2 and 23h2. Or is it just for Refresh version numbers?

Updated 22H2 & 23H2 images are identical, except for 23H2 having the Enablement Package which flips the Feature Control switches to enable hidden 23H2 behaviors. If you remove the Enablement Package, 23H2 becomes 22H2 again.

abbodi would add it also changes the build string to report 22631 instead of 22621.

22H2 & 23H2 are not far apart in kernel design. Whenever you see the LCU announcement, and Version lists more than one build; the update is universal for all the listed builds.
