What does gatherNetworkInfo.vbs do?

I have noticed that gatherNetworkInfo.vbs is started as a scheduled service in Windows 10. What does it do?
 
The name tells you what it does:
gather Network Info

Scans the network and detects devices connected to the same netwowk, i seen it in 7 but i don't know where stores the information and how it is used. a Ms thing.
