Windows 10 21H2 - Can I put the WIM in place of the ESD?

When I extracted the Windows 10 x64 21H2 ISO, there was an ESD file. When doing a load in NTLite, it converts to a WIM. Once I do my updates and everything else, can I just replace the install.esd in the ISO with the install.wim? Or do I need to convert it back to ESD before I insert back in the ISO?

This ISO was created from the media creation tool direct from Microsoft.

Thanks!

Oh jeez. I see after I load it and in the Apply screen is an option to save an ESD.
Asked just a little too soon!

Windows Setup doesn't care what format is used. When you're editing, NTLite can only use WIM images. So don't compress to ESD until you're done updating, and ready to create ISO's.

Thanks for confirming. The ESD was like 3.8Gb and the WIM was 5.5Gb. I did the adjustments and selected the export to ESD in NTLite.
