Not sure what loading Live Windows means. I had originally downloaded the UK version of Windows 10 with Rufus by mistake and I was so confused when Windows wanted to default to the UK Keyboard and stuff. Got the US one this time. I'm always up-to-date with cool software like NTIte, but I look forward to some improvement in a later update. A backward search function would be way more convenient than the wrap-around search it currently has.
After this morning's reinstall Windows isn't giving me much headache.Trying to set things up correctly without screwing it up before I have a chance to do a Macrium backup.
Anyway, I was referring to taking permissions of some registry files after Windows is already installed. It often tells me I don't have permission to delete such and such keys, and the advance permission options are often grayed out. Weird. There's another quirk I am seeing. The best example from just today are the ones that affect 3D Objects.
The registry didn't deny access when I tried to delete them, and after closing the registry 3D Objects was gone., Yet the keys are still there. Someone up there is messing with me.
Had to do cartwheels and jump through hoops to show Quick Access again. I made sure Ntlite enabled that option, but for some reason, it still wasn't showing after Windows finished installing. I removed any reference to Quick Access in your registry files though they were kind of unrelated, so I am puzzled as to why it was still gone after Windows finished installing. I found a registry hack that restored it though.
Boy, I've gone way off-topic for this thread.
