Windows could not set the offline locale. Error code: 0x80000001

Not sure what loading Live Windows means. I had originally downloaded the UK version of Windows 10 with Rufus by mistake and I was so confused when Windows wanted to default to the UK Keyboard and stuff. Got the US one this time. I'm always up-to-date with cool software like NTIte, but I look forward to some improvement in a later update. A backward search function would be way more convenient than the wrap-around search it currently has.

After this morning's reinstall Windows isn't giving me much headache.Trying to set things up correctly without screwing it up before I have a chance to do a Macrium backup.

Anyway, I was referring to taking permissions of some registry files after Windows is already installed. It often tells me I don't have permission to delete such and such keys, and the advance permission options are often grayed out. Weird. There's another quirk I am seeing. The best example from just today are the ones that affect 3D Objects.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{0DB7E03F-FC29-4DC6-9020-FF41B59E513A}
and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{0DB7E03F-FC29-4DC6-9020-FF41B59E513A}

The registry didn't deny access when I tried to delete them, and after closing the registry 3D Objects was gone., Yet the keys are still there. Someone up there is messing with me.

Had to do cartwheels and jump through hoops to show Quick Access again. I made sure Ntlite enabled that option, but for some reason, it still wasn't showing after Windows finished installing. I removed any reference to Quick Access in your registry files though they were kind of unrelated, so I am puzzled as to why it was still gone after Windows finished installing. I found a registry hack that restored it though.

Boy, I've gone way off-topic for this thread.

Keep Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge 'Microsoft Edge (Legacy)'. It's the IE11 compatibility libraries. Some apps and tools expect to use it.
Oh, I missed your post. I was running into the error "This File Does Not Have An App Associated With it For Performing This Action". No "fixes" I could find were worth a darn. Since I had removed IE 11 and Edge from my custom mod, I concluded that that was causing the error. So I went to search for an Edge download link, but the Enterprise version was the only one Microsoft was showing. Turns out it's the exact same version regular people use, but MS wants to make it sound more "regal" I guess. Anyway, when I installed it, Edge associated itself with EVERYTHING it could, but that did end up fixing the error. Now Windows won't let me associate my preferred browser with those protocols as it only offers to search the Windows Store. I have Windows set to install apps from anywhere, but Windows doesn't care.

"Edge for Business" is the branding name for Edge's standalone installer. Everyone gets the same Edge, the only difference is if you're on the Beta or Canary release channels. If you want a different browser, download its offline installer and add it to Post-Setup for silent install.

The silent install flags will vary based on which browser you pick.

I added a couple of things like vcredist2015_2017_2019_2022_x64.exe to Post-Setup, but they were not installed. I've no idea how to create silent installers. I had a very simple app for making those back in the Windows XP/Vista days, but nowadays it feels a big difficult to figure out. Getting dumber with age.

Google Bing search "[xyz.exe] silent installer". Take small sips, don't chug.
Code:
[cmd] | [parameters]
vcredist2010_x64.exe /passive /norestart
vcredist2013_x64.exe /install /passive /norestart
vcredist2015_x64.exe /install /passive /norestart

Thanks, Garlin!! I couldn't find a download for xyz.exe. Did I misunderstand you? And I can't seem to change the order in which installers execute. I don't see the option to move them up or down. Does it matter?

Well, something in my preset broke signing into Microsft and I tried to avoid breaking signing in. I really need to sign into the Store for a couple of apps I use regularly. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, repaired it, and reset it. Also can't sign into my MS account in Windows.Could have to do with removing Windows Mail or mail and calendar? Don't make me start over, Dad!

If you're executing commands that require a specific order (like a pre-requisite), order will matter. To move a line up/down, highlight it and use the up & down buttons in the menu bar. Otherwise installers don't really care for the most part.

There's nothing in the last preset which prevents you from using Store. Mail & Calendar are standalone apps. Try it without applying any tweaks.

Well, I went ahead and did custom 10 22H2 ISO. Despite my removing them, plenty of the same apps ended up installing anyway. Now after adding Hellbovine's Ntlite registry file and removed the apps I did not want, I saved a preset, then started processing the image, I then reloaded the new modded image, then added a couple more of his registry files. Hit apply and saved the image again. I however did not bother applying the preset I had created just before the first save, so maybe some of my app removal choices didn't get included. Anyway, this new Windows install is really clean and fast. I used Revo Unintaller to get rid of the 6 or 7 apps that snuck in.

BTW, is it possible you could consider adding in a future update the ability to completely disable Grouping? The disable feature works so well for the things you already included. It's just a pain disabling Grouping after Windows is installed. My previously working tweak just didn't work this time.
