I'm not too worried about it anymore. I just have unattended create a new administrator account. Everything works that way. I just chalk it up to Windows being stupid.
Anyone know why the built in administrator account is denied access from using the fingerprint scanner?
When I set up unattended to not create a local profile. I set it to enable the built in administrator. Creating a basic local user profile will have access and no issues. This happens on...
Yes.
I recently found out removing them will prevent the use of some security features like hello face and the fingerprint scanner on my laptop. Removing them won't hurt, but will make the system vulnerable and open to attack. I shouldn't have to explain that though.
Clanger Thanks. I'll check it out. I have been following Fr33thy and his settings for a while. The next step is trial and error with services. My gaming rig is down to like 45 processes with 0% utilization. Very low latency and fast response time.o_O

The pre-installed system allows me to add/remove/change my sign-in options.

It's a new unit. It's called a convertible because it can be used as a laptop or tablet. It worked fine with the preinstalled system. I'll test it after turning on TPM in bios and report back.
I have a dual boot. the original OS install works fine. It was only after I created a secondary NTLite stripped OS that it stopped working. I'm sure I screwed up somewhere.
One of the first things I did was go into bios to enable/disable things. I disabled TPM. Maybe this is the issue?
Hello all. I recently aquired an Acer Spin 5 Laptop convertible. After a few failed attempts at preserving the settings required for my fingerprint scanner to function properly, I decided to come here. I'm still fairly new at using NTLite so please go easy on me if it's a simple fix. If anyone...
