Yes, dislike is going soft on him/her. I noticed that the Window PE is listed as a Non-essential edition under the removal tab. Don't we need this to recover some things in Windows? Or is this just for people who use Windows Backup, vs something like Macrium?
This is a vanilla, untouched Windows 10 Pro version just so you know. I see stuff there I didn't remove, which is why I was a little confused. So I went back and there was stuff hidden in the sub menu, like Window's indexing under the Shell Search box. I also don't see the option to set my local...
Also above what I screen-shotted. I wanted to keep indexing for instance. Here are my Compatibility settings. I disabled Recommended hoping it would let me change those but it obviously didn't.
Since I keep running into issues I chose the Privacy Preset, but still wanted to customize a few...
Currently, I've loaded just the vanilla Pro edition for editing. I suddenly could not find the options page you showed above. Clicked everything and finally found it. I have a touch of brain damage BTW, so I struggle to think a lot of the time.
I'm talking about in the Ntlite GUI. It does not appear where you showed it. Again this is from a new ISO from which I extracted the pro version. I just downloaded the Win10_22H2_EnglishInternational_x64v1 iso and will start over with that.
Okay, that sounds right. However, that boot.wim 2 is missing even though I extracted the pro version from an official ISO. Thank you! I am making a new preset, making sure anything to do with drivers stays intact, except for floppy disks.
I totally forgot to include it! LOL Darn forum rejects it every time I try to include it. I'll try attaching the file.
Whoops, it looks like the preset doesn't show any components I removed within Ntlite, even though I exported it before creating my ISO before. I've reloaded it 3 times and...
Whenever I install Windows 10 with my preset I cannot install Nvidia drivers and it doesn't recognize ANY network hardware, even after installing my network and chipset drivers. The sound works fine, so I don't think it's some general driver issue. I keep going back and looking over everything...
I experimented with multiple Office versions, except 360, and Office 2013 is the last one that let me install only individual apps that I wanted to, while letting me skip the rest. Wish MS sold just MS Word.
The only drivers I removed were for Floppy discs and Phone Service. I usually integrate my existing drivers into the ISO, but my current build,
which I installed literally 2 days ago, isn't identifying my sound drivers correctly. And that's using the device manufacturer's drivers! What the heck...
Just ran across this thread looking through the Guide section. I didn't even think about stripping out fonts. From what I can tell in from the Windows 10 NTLite list, there are barely over 100 MB of fonts in Windows 10 22H2. I guess Windows 7 had a much larger repository. Anyway, I googled one...
Thanks! I don't know how you have the patience to answer so many questions. So glad that I finally bought this software, which was criminally underpriced. Who designed it, anyway? Google seems to have forgotten.
Yeah, I've been carefully going through the green check boxes. One maybe two of which I don't think are a good idea to remove, like kernel debugging mode if I understand what it does correctly. A pleasant yellow, maybe. :p Those stupid descriptions MS writes are not written for the layman most...
Looking for a list of stuff that can potentially break something. I can't seem to find anything recent. If not, could you point me to something close? Thanks
I'm still at it. LOL So Just copy the 2 sections above to a text file and change it to .reg at the end? I'm not savvy at creating registry files correctly. For instance, do I need to place "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" at the top of the file? I like the option to apply reg files for...
Well, I went ahead and did custom 10 22H2 ISO. Despite my removing them, plenty of the same apps ended up installing anyway. Now after adding Hellbovine's Ntlite registry file and removed the apps I did not want, I saved a preset, then started processing the image, I then reloaded the new modded...
Thanks, Garlin!! I couldn't find a download for xyz.exe. Did I misunderstand you? And I can't seem to change the order in which installers execute. I don't see the option to move them up or down. Does it matter?
Well, something in my preset broke signing into Microsft and I tried to avoid...
I added a couple of things like vcredist2015_2017_2019_2022_x64.exe to Post-Setup, but they were not installed. I've no idea how to create silent installers. I had a very simple app for making those back in the Windows XP/Vista days, but nowadays it feels a big difficult to figure out. Getting...
