Add Hide Recommended section to Configure > Settings

This policy only applies to EDU-based editions, despite what's listed in that specific document.

For non-EDU editions, your options are to use Explorer Patcher or this unsupported hack:
Removing "Recommended" from Start Menu on Windows 11 22H2 Pro
It works on my Enterprise ISO. This would still be a useful setting to have in NTLite, but maybe with a disclaimer on the supported SKUs, so a custom reg wouldn’t be needed.

I understand your argument, but history proves most new users won't pay attention to the fine print.

NTLite can already tell what Edition you’re editing, right? I know DISM has the Get-CurrentEdition command. The setting could be hidden for unsupported editions.

Would still be nice to add this setting for convenience. Especially since the policy does work on more than just EDU, such as Enterprise.

I don't make any decisions on NTLite's features, the product is entirely nuhi's work. But what I will say, is adding a Setting that won't work for more than half of the users leads to constant frustration -- especially from first-time visitors. This forum would be filled with nonstop complaining why the Setting doesn't work.

The reg file for enabling Hide Recommended has been out for two years, and doesn't take that long to add in Registry.
