AMD Adrenalin 23.7.1 and Enhanced Storage removal breaks Win 11 22H2 (22621.1928)

Hi all ! I ran into a problem with Windows 11 22 H2 build 22621.1928
I remove the Enhanced Storage component from the Windows image! And the video driver stops working correctly, there is no context menu in the system tray, and the task scheduler and the ato start break. Although earlier Windows 11 21 H2 build 318 did not have this problem
But if you leave the driver in the Enhanced Storage image, it works fine
And after on a live system, remove Enhanced Storage, but when you update the driver, if you delete and reinstall the problems start again. Yes, and this problem does not depend on what kind of sitting you choose, which is at least game-specific. Waiting for NTLite fix!
But I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to fix this now.
And which dlls are responsible for this!

I removed Enhanced Storage from a running 22621.1928 VM, and Windows didn't break for me. You forgot to report your video driver version (AMD). This sounds like a driver-specific issue.

Leaving Enhanced Storage installed will not hurt performance, it's a kernel driver which supports removable USB drives with built-in HW encryption. Those drives are very rare to find.

And by the way, I tried all the templates, no matter which driver breaks

Hello, tell me if it's not difficult for you, and what version of the driver did you install

I told you before I don't have AMD graphics. Someone else with a newer AMD card might be able to confirm it breaks their system.

Yes, and why should I mislead you, I have been using NTLite for a long time and I am going to continue to use it, there is no reason for me to deceive you

You asked me about which drivers. I can't recreate the problem by simply removing Enhanced Storage. Which means it's driver related, and that requires the same graphics. How do I test that on NVIDIA??

Someone else needs to try.

I am very grateful to you that you spent your time on me, but I also can’t understand what to do. Thank you anyway!

be patient, maybe someone with an AMD card can help within the community.

sadly the hardest part is playing the waiting game

Mod note: Merging similar question

Deleted the storage control parameter, and the amd driver stopped working correctly 23.7.1
My PC:
· Manufacturer: Risen R5 5600x
· Video Card: ASUS Radeon RX 6600 8 GB
· Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Elite V2
Tell me how to fix this parameter?

how about a little context first ? what windows version ? what build number ? ntlite version ? ntlite preset ? why the hell were you deleting storage control ? little things like that help. Not everyone here understands or reads russian ? ukranian ? whatever language it is, so your help in translating would help us too.

garlin , looks like we have another to go with Nikanor's issue.

IF you can provide us with more details, then we can help you try to understand what has gone wrong, otherwise you will be S.O.L. and having to format and re-install everything.

Why people are deciding to delete storage drivers and things like that without knowing what they are doing is beyond me ...

AMD driver 23.7.1 was released last week. There are two possible sources for this problem:
- June 2023 CU, and NTLite removing Enhanced Storage
- AMD driver 23.7.1 is buggy

Please try:
- Uninstalling June 2023 CU and try May 2023, disable Windows Update so June isn't installed again
- Uninstalling AMD 23.7.1 and try older version

Windows 11 Pro Release
Version 22H2
OS Build 22621.1928
Interactions Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22644.1000.0

My suggestion is you uninstall the new updates. We only have two reports of AMD issues, and it wasn't seen until this week.

GamerOS preset already removes Enhanced Storage, and that forum thread gets the most daily & new traffic. No one has reported anything that has been linked to Enhanced Storage removal. We have enough NTLite gamers to let us know if it was an old problem.
