Potentially Internet Explorer feature on demand disabling, or removal.
Will test these days and report back, if you reinstall/refresh make sure to try with the mentioned kept until fixed or should I say dependency detached if possible.
Potentially don't disable feature on demand, I have no control over that part, just remove the component.

Please report back as soon as possible nuhi. I won't reinstall without a fix for this and I really don't want ie on my computer
just wanted to say this: this problem may be fixed thank to nuhi but . ei and edge removal always ALWAYS caused problems at different parts of pc, waiting to be discovered. always.
Sure, it's still on the list.
It's just I got stuck with the urgent update and now with one tricky report which requires complex scenario setup.
After that I'll check this, as said above you can try not disabling IE Feature On Demand.
You can still remove IE as a component. Make sure to keep IE Frame 32 and 64-bit, and Secondary Logon service, do not even disable it, that service is needed by the Battle.net app - I know it's not in the preset, mentioning just in case.
Check control panel - Internet Options if cookies are disabled, and any antivirus/antimalware apps that might have done it.
Was resting over the weekend, before that many more important fixes.
This issue is now second in line, probably will report tomorrow.
