Hey, after some hardcore debloat of my fresh windows 11 23H2 install, I cant install the Videotool "Davinci Resolve 19" anymore, after extraction it throws the following:

what I tried was a "sfc /scannow" and it indeed found and repaired the broken files but it did not help regarding this problem.

mate, I have managed to get rid of that error through the other thread and not removing "NTVDM 16 bit", apprently Davinci resolve does need it, but seemingly it needs the library "DirectML.dll", I do not remove ACTUALLY any meaningful library or system component, only the true garbage BUT i have removed "windows machine learning", has that dll something to do with that component?

ML = Machine Learning, which is a new component for 24H2. I imagine DaVinci is now on the "AI bandwagon" like every software app.

hmmmm, so I need the Machine learning component in "Components -> System -> Machine Learning with Windows AI" ?

I dont know what part excactly the "directML.dll" is, does it come from that machine learning component or where does it stem from.,

Did you read the preset?
Code:
                <c>directml 'Direktes maschinelles Lernen (DirectML)'</c>

yea I saw it but i did not know exactly it was related to that system component alone, wanted to get sure and yes its only referring to it.

For anyone stumbling upon this like I did, another user in linked thread said to copy the file from the iso but ill leave an image of the exact location and it worked for me. Davinci Resolve 19 install successfully.

While it worked in your case, keep in mind simply copying a missing file won't always work. A feature may require some registry entries along with the file in order to activate itself. The safest way is to make a new ISO with your fixed preset.

I can confirm that I simply copied over the "user.exe" from another installation (Windows 10 to Windows 11 in my case) and the Davinci install worked without error.

You can use Compatibility mode's file protection to prevent NTLite from deleting a set of known files, when it's removing components which hold those same files.
