Component removal: DISM vs DISM + Custom

NTLite just introduced a new feature in v2.3.8.8889:
Components: App Removal Mode switch – choice between DISM-only, or DISM + Custom for the previous method with deeper removals
Is there actually a greater risk of breaking Windows Update with DISM + Custom option?

Yes, whenever something removes more than MS provides by default, has some compatibility risk in it.
Also some apps may deny reinstallation if deeply removed - so use the deeper more only if not reinstalling same apps after.
Updates should work, as before.
With DISM mode even better compatibility, better choice for example when making images for others, e.g. reinstalling or upgrading family member computers.

Will eventually group all deep removal triggers into a wizard-like prompt on the components page with explanation of each, like Servicing Stack compatibility etc.

The goal is to cover both cases, those that want every single unused file removed, and those that just want to politely gain control.
