So I'm new to NTL, but not new to tech/pc's etc. I get the idea of NTL and have been messing with making a slimmed down windows 11.

I have these things:
NTL registered (not free)
MS downloaded iso file 64bit multi version of windows 11

What I am trying to accomplish is the following:

-What I call bloat ware ie: spotify, tiktok, office, etc.....that is normally installed on the start bar, I want to not have that installed at all
-no MS edge at all, or as close as I can get to it
-No defeneder installed
-no MS store installed
-no one drive installed

Currently I have a working version that was my first attempt, but it installed store, onedrive, and edge, but the rest of the automated stuff works fine, soI am using this as a base iso to work from. Each time I make adjustments I create a brand new iso, I do not write over the base iso I am working from.

I have found onedrive and store and disabled them within ntl, but what I am running into now is there is a start OOBE, and 3windows feature experience packages. Notes said I need Experience pack core, so that is enabled, but I'm wondering can I disable the other 2, windows experience - desktop, and LKG?

The main issue I am having now is, everything installs just fine and works, EXCEPT for, text files and paint. I get an error that tells me something like "this package could not be registered". I am not sure why or how to fix that or what setting could possibly affect that. I've done a google search and see others having this issue but haven't found a fix

I've been messing with this pretty much all day trying to get what I want, but I'm not sure if it's possible, and I hope this all makes sense lol

I just checked the unanswered questions and noticed your thread had slipped through the cracks. Do you still need assistance in solving the paint error or other issues? If so, please attach the current preset you are using (NTLite .XML file), with licenses and passwords removed. Also, be sure to include all other tweaks, such as scripts used in post-setup, registry files, other tools, etcetera.

The thing we recommend to everyone trying to figure out the world of Component Removals, is to use the 4 built-in presets (Privacy, Gaming, Lite, Not Recommended) as reference points to help learn what is considered safe for removal and what may cause problems. The GamerOS is the most popular community preset that does removals, so it would be great to compare with too.

Aside from that, it just takes trial and error, plus searching the forum to figure out the file dependency issues that people come across. We can help you figure out the paint error for example, if you're still around. Then, depending on what is discovered in the fix, it may result in NTLite being updated to add compatibility, to prevent this same problem for others in the future.

Those are pinned 3rd-party Suggested Apps. Contrary to their appearance, these apps are not actually installed but clickable links. If you click on the icon, Windows Store will begin downloading them.

Removing Content Delivery Manager will delete the component responsible for pulling those suggestions. But you lose the Window Spotlight wallpaper as a side effect.

Windows Feature Experience - OOBE is required for a clean install. It may be removed on a live system after an install. Not removing it doesn't cause any problems because it's only used once for the very first user's desktop logon.

Windows Feature Experience - Core is required for a normal working desktop (Taskbar, Start Menu).

Windows Feature Experience - Desktop is some of the apps normally included in what's referred as "Client.CBS". These include less important bundled apps like Windows Backup, but some users object to it. You can't pick or choose the apps, either you keep all or remove all.

Check if you didn't remove one of the UWP framework libraries, like .NET, VC++, or UI.Xaml.

The Windows Feature Experience Pack - OOBE can be removed for a clean install, but must configure and use "autounattend"
I remove it (and Windows Feature Experience - Desktop / LKG) and no problem
Note that I do not use the Windows start menu, it is also deleted in the ISO

For Notepad, the Appinfo service is also necessary, in case
