Yeah, what I was saying though is right now ccleaner's portable is on hold (https://www.ccleaner.com/knowledge/ccleaner-v6-02-9938). It says, "We have paused releases of CCleaner Portable..." and it's been that way for several upates.
But, I think I'm not explaining myself properly because our wires seem to be crossed I wasn't focused on if they have a portable version, but rather that right after Avast took over, and shortly after my Reddit post with how to tweak things, they started modifying how the cfg/ini/registry works and made it more difficult for users to disable stuff. This may have been reversed over the years, but I just stuck with the portableapps version because it works without issue for me, and "If it ain't broke..."
Anywho, we both seem to agree a portable version is better, and that's all that really matters here for other readers of this thread to know--it helps eliminate some of the issues caused by Avast's takeover.
