How to disable Edge auto start for first logon?

Does anyone have any idea if it is possible to disable edge autostart after OOBE/User creation?

After entering the desktop, this message appears to configure Edge...

I use the reg key "HideFirstRunExperience" to suppress this message, but using it Edge opens by itself.

I tried to search here on the forum and on the internet but I couldn't find a solution.

If anyone knows of a way to avoid this, I'd appreciate it.

I installed 19045.2006 pt-BR, but don't see any pop-ups.
Try removing Content Delivery Manager, which shuts off all the suggested content like local news & interests.

thanks for the effort but here the message appears right after logon, as in the gif above, untouched ISO.

I tried without CDM, but edge keeps opening automatically.

it's like it was programmed to open after logon. Because if I use the key to prevent the initial configuration it opens the browser without displaying the message.

Even with HideFirstRunExperience, no pop-up. The only thing I can think of is your Edge is set as a Startup app, but my setting is the same.

The message appears for me (W10, Home, 21H2, en-US), but maybe it doesn't appear in a VM, or a firewall/AV can block it?

This is a lingering item I've been trying to solve in my image too. I tried a reg compare tool, but the message offers no relevant keys, and most of the internet's solutions aren't working since they are for the non-chromium versions. If memory serves, I think when testing some presets the message didn't appear, but I haven't tried to figure out what component(s) were responsible for that.

I'm testing it in a VM, I don't know why it doesn't show up for garlin.

Yes, I tried a few different solutions I saw around the internet too, but nothing worked so far.

I'm trying to see if I can find anything in the registry, maybe the run or runonce keys. But so far I haven't found anything.

you can try edgeblocker from sordum website to disable edge fully. if u don't want to uninstall edge

You can remove the edge using ntlite and open the user, desktop and put edge installer on it in order to solve your problem

Or add edge installer in post installation as silent maybe

You're missing the point, it's not about removing Edge -- it's the unexpected notification from Taskbar, not Edge itself.

As far as I can tell, it's related to this behavior:
Windows 10 taskbar is now pushing Microsoft Edge web apps

Content Delivery Manager usually pushes this crap unless it's another WU-installed tool. These are marketing based offers, they're targeting something specific about you or your PC.

You can try this method

- First install that os in your pc or virtual machine
- Second run optimizer and go to startup tab
- Third select the microsoftedge in startup tab and locate file or locate registry after that save the location where you found that file
- Fourth use ntlite to modify and locate the file from the location where you saved it before and delete it to avoid auto run the ms edge
- Fifth try to load again the os if the problem already fix

we are not trying to uninstall ms edge. or avoid its run.

As Garlin stated - have you disabled "Content Delivery Manager " or other Windowsbased advertizing "bullshit" in Settings?
I've never seen that push message too up till 22621.1555

Yes, I tested it on my modified iso with all settings to disable ads and I also tested it by removing the CDM component but the message keeps popping up.

Can you try the fake WSUS server hack to block WU updates?

Integrate the reg file into the image, and WU will be redirected to a non-existent WSUS server. After excluding CDM, WU is the only other platform that forces dynamic content to a new system.
