Installation Failed

So with the attached auto-saved preset, when I try to do an upgrade install, I get the error "Windows 11 installation has failed."

If I try to boot using the ISO, I get the following message:


The works.xml preset (created using build 10293) works fine.

Any help?

There's two separate problems:
1. The Secure Boot failure may be related to which version of the boot files are present in the image, and whether you previously installed an UEFI BIOS update which revoked the old boot loaders. For security, most of the newer Windows ISO's or patched images have a copy of the replacement boot loaders.

Depending on which versions are on the BIOS certificate trust list, one or the other boot loaders isn't trusted now. As a short term workaround, temporarily disable Secure Boot, and perform the install. Then re-enable Secure Boot.

2. The upgrade might be failing from a missing \sources folder.

Try check Windows Activation (KMS) in Compatibility tab. It will protect needed components.

Looking at the preset, this seems to be an ARM architecture ISO.
Support for it in the test phase, this is one of the rare reports of ARM results.

Does the "works" preset fail on the new version as well, or it's only about the difference between the two presets?

Yes it fails in the same way (right before reboot). Also, The "$oem$" folder does not get created at all with either preset. This means no automatic install of StartAllBack:



Also, even though I kept windows update compability, Windows Update (either via settings or manually) fails:


When I then download the individual update via the update catalog, it gives me the same error:
