KB5005394 (CU Out-of-Band for PrintNightmare)

Has anyone else had difficulty integrating KB5005394 (or the equivalent for non-1809 builds?)

This is:
KB5005394 July 27, 2021—KB5005394 (OS Build 17763.2091) Out-of-band ---- NOTE: This is the final hotfix for PrintNightmare

Even if I just run with KB5004422 (Latest SSU for 1809) and KB5004394, it fails with error code:

The solution here is PROBABLY to wait for the August 2021 CU, or use the previous July CU Official ( which was KB5004308/OS Build 17763.2090 ).

(Or deploy KB5004308 and patch KB5004394 in-place on destination systems)

But it would still be nice to know.

I can see now that Microsoft is in the process of releasing cumulative updates for August.

The official announcement is not there, but I an see they're uploading them to the catalog server index now.

ive got a problem with a CU for 1909, wonder if its a similar/same issue. hoping the latest CU will cure it.

Yes. Rockwell Automation - FactoryTalk environment. OT/IOT/Industrial Automation. etc. etc.

looks like enabling(manually post install with a cmd file) net3.5 is broken on 1909. i know for a fact it used to work on LTSC(1809) so im wondering if dism is broken somehow in its later versions. absolute tiny tiny possibility in your case but might be worth a look. im failing again with the latest 1909 CU and dism is hanging enabling net 3.5.
