.NET 5.0 is EOL, the last download is static.
.NET 6.0 will continue to be replaced every month, until Nov 2024
.NET 7.0 is EOL, the last download is static.
.NET 8.0 will continue to be replaced every month, until Nov 2026

Unless you have a weird app (ie. ImageGlass), or work for an enterprise that writes its own .NET apps, almost nobody needs .NET 6 or higher.

5 6 and 7 are there just in case someone does need them.

The problem is non-EOL .NET versions get a new update (actually it's a replacement installer) every month.

So you should visit the .NET downloads page instead.
