Save button for presets keeps prompting for file name

Hi,

According to the "hoover over" text, the Save button from the preset menu should just save/update the existing loaded preset config. However it is always asking me for a file name. This is a bit annoying.

Am I doing something wrong?

Many thanks in advance.

It has always asked for a file name to save as, as it is easier for people who update their presets to keep a log of each change as they work a long. I am not sure what you mean by annoying as tbh as is, it is an essential way to keep presets in order ( being able to name them as you work along so you have a record to 'rollback to')

This is how I use it as well. To keep track of versions. What I would like to see is the ability to just save to current preset while working on the same version in order to minimize risk of losing data.

But thanks for the answer, at least now I know this is intentional behaviour.

The UI design is admittedly confusing. To save to an existing preset file:

1. Preset name must be currently picked on the right-side Preset pane.
2. Click on the Save icon's down caret (expand), and Save (overwrite)

A new tab maybe, 2 tick boxes, Save and Overwrite. A right click Context Menu option. Visible on all pages save going back.
Do the first page, save/overwrite, then save on each page as you build up. Happy to test that out :)

If something is pending on a loaded NTL image it could be more than one course.
And save a preset in the middle of no where don't lead to a working image.
A restart and load again and save/ Apply from there would be recommended.
