Still have Windows sounds after removing them on Windows 11

No such build exist (.104).
Tested on .527 only removing Default Sound and Sound themes and can hear the default startup sound too - normally i handle that via GPO (sysprepped) or a configured .deskthemepack file (also via sysprep) and never hear it.
When tick off Windows start sound in sound settings the reg changes - so maybe can help add the attached reggie to NTL.
Maybe nuhi add this opportunity in NTL Settings one day. But i don't think it's on the toplist of what's is priotized.
So just to be clear - it's not a NTL issue - and you could have tested and compared the reggie changes yourself.

Please try in the future and take a serious stand on whether it is a problem related to NTL or a Windows by design problem you yourself should make an active effort to solve. If many enough think it's a problem i'm sure nuhi will take note of it in the development of NTL.

True. If you're gonna fake something, try checking a list of actual W11 builds.

The correct answer is W11 has two different Shell Sound packages:
amd64_microsoft-windows-shell-sounds-dm_31bf3856ad364e35
amd64_microsoft-windows-shell-sounds_31bf3856ad364e35

NTLite removes the usual package, but W11's startup sound ("Windows Foreground") lives in the other one. W10 doesn't have any startup sounds, so they chose to restore them to a different package.

Windows Background.wav
Windows Foreground.wav
Windows Hardware Fail.wav
Windows Hardware Insert.wav
Windows Hardware Remove.wav
Windows Notify Calendar.wav
Windows Notify Email.wav
Windows Notify Messaging.wav
Windows Notify System Generic.wav
Windows User Account Control.wav

I don't know if it's worth deleting shell-sounds-dm (3 MB), vs. using a simple reg key fix.
nuhi?

New Windows always require adaptation of multiple components.
For Shell Sounds it was done in v2.3.6.8792 and newer.

Thanks.
