Why does it take so unbelievably long to remove non-essential editions?

The progress bar goes to half-way and just sits there...and sits there...and sits there for a very long time.
 
Here is the screenshot. It still is stuck at halfway.

Specifically I think it got stuck at the Windows PE x64 part. I will try to keep that and just remove the Windows 10 Home part now.
 
Yeah that solved the problem. You can't have Windows PE x64 checked. But when I tried to install Windows 10 Professional I think it's build 14393 I got two error messages. The first said something like Windows cannot parse the assist file. I hit OK. Then a few seconds later it said Windows has encountered and unexpected error.

I'm pretty sure I entered an invalid serial number though. Maybe that has something to do with it.

And even though I entered the serial number in the NT Lite interface Windows 10 was still asking me to enter it at the beginning of the setup program.
