Windows 10 1809 customizations

So we are going to update from Windows 7 to Windows 10 this year. Since i want to make it as simple and easy as possible for our users (and me), i wan't the Win 10 install as clean as possible. I'm also trying to safe some money. Microsofts deployment tools are great, if you have A LOT of time on hand and so on - NTLite does a wonderfull and easy job with all there is.

However, since Microsoft keeps changing how the Taskbar and Startmenu are handled - does it still work with 1809? How do i incorporate the XML Files in the ISO and set NTLite so that Windows is using those files from the get go? Can NTLite generate those XML Files?

Also, on my last try, i did set "something" and now the quick settings are gone. Notifications, quick settings and so on are enabled in the settings of Windows 10...any idea?

NTLite doesn't have the option 'edit start menu' nor handle the xml related to the start menu.

Upload the autosaved preset, you have set tweaks in settings page or have removed the needed component.

If you're aiming at Import-StartLayout, you can put the XML file on the Post-setup page (it will display in Parameters how to use it in a command), and add the command that you would type from a command-line with the XML parameter as suggested.
However, note that Post-setup page is executed at the end of setup, before any users are created, so it would work only if Default user is targeted by the command.

Thought so. If it did, i think i would have found it...

This is the preset.

Yeah, i tried to run the command after installing, however it seems i've got the xml syntax wrong as it somehow doesn't want to apply my startmenu config. Going to have to get the xml working, before incorporating it into the iso...

Find Action center state in Settings page (if it's Disabled, try changing to default).

To fix it, go to the windows registry and delete the value "DisableNotificationCenter" located in the key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer].
