Windows 10 (Build 1903) Defender "Detected" Upon 'Apply', Even Though Disabled?

At the end of my last session, when I hit "Apply", I got a warning that Windows Defender is "enabled" with the suggestion I disable it so it won't interfere, even though I completely disabled it in my Windows Local GPO VM Windows before I booted, & I can't see where anything is still enabled when I check, so I just dismiss the warning to process which takes quite a while, but I don't think the extra length of time is related to this mysterious issue, just the typically slow VM; any suggestions as to what may be going on, here?

Okay, I can answer my own question, though the news is NOT good, this link explains it:

In Windows there is no option to completely turn off Microsoft Defender , Defender control is a Portable freeware to disable Ms Defender.

Well what do you know, it worked, thanks! Haven't done detailed reading on the app yet, but hope it won't have to be done on every boot.

So much for your dilligent research and thank you for ignoring the post+batch file i posted for you in the other thread(now removed). Its not nice to put in time and effort for someone and not get any response.

I tried your batch file & it didn't work, I DO apologize for not replying about it earlier, but I was trying some other things as well.
