Nothing should exceed 100 during idle though
That would be nice, but my DPC goes up to 300 idle and is stable at around 1000 under load.
Besides that, i fully agree :cool:
BTW: you may have noticed ntoskrnl, but for me it is wdf01000.sys which spike every now and then.
Although it doesn't produce issues, so it is normal.
 
And by the way, can anyone turn on LatencyMon and play any game for 20 minutes and show the results?

5 minutes of doing stuff is sufficient to get a result, do not let the system idle, do stuff, it will spike in that time. if it doesnt, increase to 10 minutes.

So what will be true?
One of you says you don't have to do anything, the other says you have to do something.
Can someone also show their results when, after a reboot, you start opening a browser, launching applications, ,tegram , discord, steam, etc.
 
horbromin, the results you posted from the idle are the best you can get until Nvidia fixes this bug, or unless you want to switch over to an AMD graphics card. A few people are in this same situation with you, where their computers are properly functioning and don't have anything other than some moderate spikes from the Nvidia driver. At this time there is no known way to eliminate even the moderate Nvidia/Dxkrnl spikes, apart from using the interrupt affinity tool, but that's a mixed bag right now too.

After Microsoft/Nvidia issue a fix, I would bet those 200ish spikes will drop below 100. Or if you want to play with the interrupt tool you may be able to achieve it now, but it's still really just a workaround and not a true fix to the problem, since it's clearly an issue in the OS or the Driver that needs a patch.

There have to be done 2 tests. Idle (a few minutes after boot), and load (your game or app) :)

Well I have problems with my pc and I'm trying to figure out if the delays are the cause.
I have strong stutters in games (during the stutter, the load on the video card drops and the power consumption goes down for a second)
While playing games I sometimes spike up to ~1000 different drivers (nvlddmkm.sys also) but I don't know if it has something to do with the starters.
So I'm trying to understand, these spikes up to 1000 during games is it normal or not.
 
5 minutes should be sufficient under load. if it hasnt spiked under load for 10 minutes it "probably" never will.

DPC is only half the picture. The other half is frame rates. What are your frame rates in that game?

If you have good DPC, and good frame rates, but still have stutters then the next thing to look at is generic tweaking of background activity that is known to interfere, such as change power plan to high performance, adjust advanced power settings, disable antivirus, etcetera.
