NTLite "Source" question - point of clarification

When slipstreaming drivers and Windows updates into a Windows image, say a Windows 7 Professional x64 image, am I correct in my understanding that the "Mounted Image" one configures as the "Source" is modified by NTLite? Specifically, when I unpack a Windows ISO into, for example, into...

System hung? Or let it go?

nuhi, I understand that the system running out of RAM would definitely cause issues. I suspect this is what happened. I do not recall seeing the HDD indicator drive flickering, so I'm not sure it was swap or paging thrashing. However, I was not able to duplicate the error. Re-running the...

System hung? Or let it go?

After rebooting, I removed the (ImDisk) RAMdisk and re-started NTLite (version 1.5.0.6025 64-bit). This time I only integrated the Windows 7 updates -- no drivers. It completed successfully.

System hung? Or let it go?

ImDisk Toolkit 20170706 Dell Mobile Precision m5510 with 16GB RAM After fresh reboot, before starting applications, configured a 10GB RAMdisk using ImDisk. I think I had it configured to "dynamically allocate" RAM, but I am not 100% sure. TEMP and scratch were set to R:\TEMP and...

After rebooting, I removed the (ImDisk) RAMdisk and re-started NTLite (version 1.5.0.6025 64-bit). This time I only integrated the Windows 7 updates -- no drivers. It completed successfully after 1:03.

System hung? Or let it go?

At 14:15, after two hours, I killed the machine and hard rebooted. I suspect perhaps I ran out of RAM due to the RAMdisk and the system was thrashing. But I don't know. I am going to re-run NTLite without the RAMdisk this time and see if it will complete.

System hung? Or let it go?

Q: Is my system hung / frozen and I should do a hard reset (via power button), or could NTLite still be crunching away? Background: Started an NTLite integration process at 12:15. System clock (lower right corner) is unchanged at 12:52. Current time is 13:38. Slipstreaming latest Windows...

    Windows 7 - Updates Download List 2018-02

Kasual, please correct me if I'm wrong... If I am understanding this thread correctly, one does NOT need to download, install, and run WSUS. Rather, one only needs to download one of the update lists text files you attached to your first post in this thread and then download all the updates...

    KB3125574 (Win 7 SP1 Convenience Rollup) Workaround?

In thread https://www.ntlite.com/community/index.php?threads/how-long-win-7-sp1-updates-drivers.79/ I was advised that the Windows 7 Convenience Rollup (KB3125574) creates issues. The poster referred me to...

    How long? (Win 7 SP1 + Updates + Drivers)

UPDATE: After running for an hour or two, NTLite finally crunched past KB3125574. After about 3-4 hours, it is now towards the bottom of the list of Updates. It is presently working on KB4038777 (whatever that is). SUGGESTION: In addition to the progress bar that is present in NTLite...

    How long? (Win 7 SP1 + Updates + Drivers)

I am working (or I should say I have NTLite working) on integrating all Windows 7 updates plus Dell drivers on a Windows 7 SP1 ISO image. It is presently processing KB3125574 (that's the Win 7 Rollup, isn't it?) and has been for the last hour. It is stuck at 7%. I cannot tell if it is doing...
