Delete Windows Firewall (leaving only the firewall service active?)

If I remove Windows Firewall, would that disable WFP as well?
No, apparently WFP only depends on Base Filtering Engine service (BFE). You can even disable the Windows Firewall service and SimpleWall will continue to work as far as I remember, I used it that way. In older versions of SimpleWall it asked if you would like to disable the Windows Firewall but this has changed in more recent versions.

Q: Is it safe to use simplewall with Windows Firewall?
simplewall not asking anymore to disable Windows Firewall?
Missing: Disable Windows Firewall Checkbox

I have never removed Windows Firewall and I recommend not removing it, you may need a fallback in case of problems with third-party programs and this will not be present. Without being behind a router with NAT (common in IPv4) and/or a firewall (in the case of IPv6 it is essential as it does not have NAT) you will be completely exposed to attacks without having a firewall on the device. If you have a laptop and connect to public networks, mobile networks or even friends' networks, it is essential to have device-level protection. Even on a local network in your home if a visitor connects to WiFi with an infected device you will be exposed.

Zone Alarm stopped issuing offline installers and online installers usually failed.
I had an old ZA offline installer that used to work like a charm and then one day it didnt anymore and kept failing on subsequent tests.

Another Free Firewall(Only) installed the full security suite and wiped out some valuable files :mad::mad:

Windows Firewall works like a charm with WFC, WF is good enough and together they are not a massive resource hog, if it is on a users low power pc then there are things you can disable to help balance resource use out :)

Dont know about Tiny and Simple, WFC is a glorified UI for WF.
im on 6c/6t and 16gb ram so i dont see any problems, 2c/4t on 4(to 8gb) might be a bit tight, arm64 and limited soldered on ram would need to be tested but i dont see it being a problem, there is an arm64 build thread around here somewhere, check Interesting Stuff.
