Hi, i see that ntlilte could be used to integrate or slipstream the windows updates.
Is it possibel to integrate all window updates chronologically as given by microsoft using your ntlite. Is there any link that gives tutorial on this.
Because, this order is much required for avoiding failure of some updates.

Sure, after loading an image go to the Updates page, Add - Latest online updates and press OK.
NTLite will automatically sort appropriately - let me know if you find otherwise.

What Vladimir is saying, maybe Windows 7 list is not perfect, I would need to review that to comment further.
WSUS Offline always added non-relevant updates to me, but we are not on its forum so irrelevant.

To solve the problem within NTLite, no that´s right. But to suggest an alternative way that´s adjustable to personal needs and works without compiling new images if something went wrong in this part.

Which updates despite from security patches are necessary is very subjective. Most can already see when deciding to turn off updates in 'Windows Update'. Also widespread are the comments about yes or no on the internet.
Advantage of WSUSOffline, it is always and forever available after creating your KB-Repository with the KBs you set-up to install. And would work with every Win7 Installation. In case you lose images of your Win7.

Of course choose what you prefer.

I may also vote for wsus update. But there is problem of its own creation of wsustempadmin password and it never goes off itself after update. In that way, in online updates , you could select the updates you want.
Hi, nuhi, i asked this query, especially because some updates need certain relevant kbs . If i had not selected thet , there is a problem of the latest not updated to the image with error. When you are getting the error while slipstreaming, then it will reflect in serious problem while install process. This is what i think.
For example, there is one update to be installed before you could install service pack1. Is it correct.
There are other updates ,which first kills the machine totally and then patches are supplied by the microsoft
Pleaase say if wsus offline updates boot and reboot while the process is on the ntlilte

You should get Windows 7 SP1.

So now you have made an SP1 version out of a release Win7?
No prerequisite according to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1

WSUSOffline is of two parts. 1. UpdateGenerator, that can be run on any machine as NTLite and 2. 'UpdateInstaller' which would be run on the Installed Win7 machine to Update.
The downloaded KBs through WSUSOffline can also be used to be integrated into NTLite. That´s the way I did with some.
When using WSUSOffline to install Updates it checks the prerequisites first and reboots on automatic mode. The big batch of Updates (~220) will be installed in one cycle (RAM >6GB).

vladimir, once again thank you for your advice.
will try after checking sp1.
If suppose, i select all updates the image size is bound to increase.
how to handle in such a way, so as to enable to boot it from larger storage usb , say 16 gb pendrive as boot media.
will it auto split automatically if i use ntlite, when creating iso. Normally the dvd drive only accommodates nearly 4 gb only.
Is there a video of how to slipstream by the ntlite

Using an USB-Stick creating an iso-file is not necessary.
You need to know where your working directory is from where the iso would be created.

To create an bootable USB-Stick third software is needed and this doesen´t care what you used prior to it.
What you might need to know is how is your traget hardware BIOS booting? Legacy or UEFI.
And do the USB3.0 ports need drivers added to the boot.wim and install.wim? Some "newer" hardware do.

One suggestion https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Creating_Windows_UEFI_Boot-Stick_in_Windows

my computer is based on bios.,'visited the link and i found this

he next step is to copy the Windows installation files to the USB flash drive.

You can do this by simply using Copy - Paste. It doesn't matter whether you have mounted, unpacked or inserted an ISO image in Windows or an installation DVD.

If the install.wim file of the Windows image is larger than 4GB, an error will occur during the copying process. At the end of the copy process, the message that the file is too large appears. This message appears, because the FAT32 file system reaches its limits and cannot process >4GB files.
here i need the solution.

Hi, thanks for the clue. do not i need to split wim in this case.
i see something to that effect of splitting the wims.
thanks , clanger for this wonderful suggestion.
then , why splilt wim is needed, please for academic knowledge

jraju if you format the usb key to ntfs then you wont have to split the wim. FAT has a file size limit of 4gb(maybe a bit less) and dvd's have a 4.3gb limit, they have to be single layer, dual layer(8gb) wont work so in certain situations you have to split the wim into 2. an NTFS formatted drives only limitation is its capacity so an 8gb stick(7.5gb once formatted) will be sufficient. personally i go for 32gb(29gb formatted).

An install.wim bigger than four is seen as unusual, probably for every manual on the net.

Clanger do you know that WIMs could be split for a windows installation? My expectation would be the windows installer is not recognizing the split and thus will miss the other parts.

Windows 10 x64 updated images are over 4 GB (ESD format not tested).
For UEFI + GPT a DVD or FAT32 USB is needed (WinSetupFromUSB will split images over 4 GB).
