Hello,
Is there any way to remove /disable the new 'CORTANA (BETA)' app that's present in the Windows 10 May 2020 (20H1) update ISO without disabling the 'Shell Search' functionality?

I don't use CORTANA so need to remove that, & I know that CORTANA APP is locked by the Shell Search compatibility feature, but I don't wanna disable that 'Shell Search' as that 'd disable the searching functionality in START (tried & tested)

If there is any way to remove the app without disabling the ShellSearch, suggest me that, if not, then requesting nuhi to take a look in this case & if possible do something to make this happen.

So, I tested 20H2 with the latest NTLite version and the Setting app search has results when searching for settings, Start Menu items show up with the right icon (I don't know if they still show up with the wrong icon one time or another) and Start Menu search shows winver and has results when searching for files. This time, I didn't have SM03's issue as well as the Quick Access folders and the Cortana app and Windows Security didn't show up after removing Windows Defender. Since after removing only SmartScreen I have the Settings app blank issue (as well as after removing only SmartScreen and Windows Defender) I'll see what happens if I only remove Windows Defender.

EDIT: Weird, part of the OOBE was skipped. Now the setting isn't blank but it doesn't let me choose a setting in it. It looks like I would have to keep SmartScreen and Windows Defender to not have these two issues.
Regarding that disabled UI, I have added that when SmartScreen is removed, as you complained about not knowing what is selected.
However it didn't work in my test, so you must have kept Defender or something that allowed to process that UI lock - if I was you I would be happy, but I bet you're not :D

Thanks guys for your feedback, let's lock this for clarity as it seems solved and it is difficult for me to parse different issues inside the wrong title.

Just to clarify, SmartScreen is disabled if Defender, OR SmartScreen is removed.
Reason why SmartScreen is split from Defender is because of Store requiring that core of it to install applications.
Defender settings contain SmartScreen options, thus it is safer to disable than to leave its lock without the UI to disable it.
However, recently had some progress in that regard, so will reevaluate if Defender removal needs to also disable SmartScreen or not - just depends if it can be configured from Settings if Defender settings page is removed.

Thanks, and sorry for the non-complete answer prior.
