I had a request over on the Discord to post my preset over here on the forums to help people with a good preset to build their own customized ISOs with. I've put many hours into making the best unbloated windows WIM I could come up with that broke the least amount of programs. System, Language, and Driver packages aren't touched while windows update and all the annoyance apps are removed, except for Calculator and Paint.

Please use this as a starting location for what you can get away with without breaking a ton of things, and come join us on the Discord!

New preset updates can be found over on my github page:

You should test it first, but Eyevou's goal was to keep app compatibility. That would include normal desktop software.

Can someone kindly point me to a guide or write an outline how to apply this preset including the reg files and autounattended.xml? I'm totally new and would love to use this as my starting point.

You can save all three XML files to a local folder, and import them as Preset files from the Image screen.

1. Load an image.
2. Load 01 preset.
3. Load 03 preset. When NTLite asks if you want to Overwrite or Append the new changes, select Append.
4. Load 04 preset. Repeat with Append.
5. Apply changes.

For advanced modding, some users will split a group of edits into separate presets. This way makes it easier to troubleshoot a bad image, since you can skip loading one or more presets (in a row) to eliminate possible mistakes.

NTLite allows you to layer pending edits, by loading another preset on top of the current editing session. Before applying the changes, you can stop and save the current session as one merged preset if you prefer.

Thanks for the instructions. If you have not mention about the loading each of the presets in right order, I would have assume I only need to load the Win11 preset only.
