Scheduled Tasks removal, NTLite 2.3.2.8500+

Totally irrevelant question: cpu usage maxes out to %90-%100. fans spin like crazy, and when i open task manager or processexplorer it goes back to %7-10 instantly. fans stop. so i cannot monitor or find the cause?

i thought its search indexing but its at standart not even enhanced

edit: tons of same problem on internet with no real solution: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-manager/f5ae6887-2cb5-4685-81cd-f8908404de2b
its possible you all are experiencing this. something is causing high cpu usage and has a watchdog, so kills itself when monitoring is turned on. can be telemetry or something else. its annoying.

i think its system ıdle process.

it also has connection sometimes

edit: if this is true then its really fucking stupid solution to stay in idle. i mean making your pc run at max on idle is just lazy enginering if u ask me. and + why hide it with a watchdog when tm or any other monitorer is turned on to see what the heck is wrong with your pc.

best solution i can come up with leaving TM on all times.

i think it might be because of min cpu usage setting in power management settings of selected profile.

btw i tested, its all about power plans. if u pick powersaving or balanced cpu usage is kept at minimum or even part of it hibernates so no fans spin too. if u get high performance or ultimate performance your pc is ramped up to %80-100 to make cpu parked at ready without sleeping, so no cold starts, resulting in more heat so higher speed fan/energy usage.

its like how sport car works actually, comp makes gears ready for higher performance. when u even break to slow down gears continue to spin fast because sport car knows you will make that pedal to the metal soon.

bad thing is, when i use powersaving or balanced i feel extremely slower responsiveness from my system. but on the other hand the freaking fan sound on my laptop is killing my ears. maybe tweaking minimum cpu usage can be solution to find that "spot" where its quiet but also responsive.

Got an ltsc 1809 testing install on my laptop, the only power plan availible is Balanced, ive got to create others, weird .

yes same happens to me sometimes. idk why. i enable ultimeate power plan and remove the rest normally. but now idk what i will do. too much noise if i do that.

Balanced is the only plan that shows, i can create the others but Ultimate isnt an option. Not a problem really, just a minor inconvinience besides much easier to do stuff on a bigger screen. Mine are low spec laptops handy for lighiweight fiddling around and media players/audio editors which doesnt stress them out.

QuickCPU has an excellent Power Plan section that can manipulate plans, settings, cloning renaming export import, its really good :).
MT_ switched to custom .pow plans rather than direct registry editing.

Create and export plans as you require and add them to later installs with setupcomplete and $OEM$.

Actually i would want a custom pow plan. after finding out this CPU and fan spin relationship in plans. i will investigate and create one soon.

btw great software you mentioned. thanks! if u have similar one for GPU i can also take a look

even that cpu thing is really detailed.. from parking to changing turbo times.. mann i need to learn it deeply before doing something stupid. but it will really improve my systems performance without doubt...

I dont care about turbo, core parking or lowering the base clock. Disable core parkings sleep states etc and run at constant base clock. Everything always on :). Even a 2c/4f Pentium at base clock can go like stink if you tweak windows and its power plans right.
Base clock, stock ram speeds, ssd(still running on sata 3 ssd), tweak the crap out of windows. Dont overclock, dont benchmark, dont game.
Always happy with my builds.

crypticus Back up/export all default power plans, clone an existing one like Ultimate, rename the clone, activate it and tweak that. If you mess up can delete it and start again. I think it desrves to be a standalone program.

Disable parking (0% parked cores), with powercfg:

powercfg -setacvalueindex scheme_GUID sub_processor 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 100
powercfg -setactive scheme_GUID
