Start Menu gone... hmmm.....

Did you change something in Compatibility?

The built-in templates in NTLite are designed to be used with most of the Compatibility options checked, otherwise things will break. WiFi support for example is removed by the gaming template if you uncheck WLAN in Compatibility.

I think it's hard for some tweak to break the start menu, unless you also disable some services.
I think I may have but only by mistake. So I'll start from scratch again and try to work my way through the process again until I reach my ultimate install.

If a user uses the same image customised multiple times by ntlite or other tools(or a mixture of both), cannot or wont tells us exactly what has been done, cant or wont post a preset there is literally nothing we can do, OP would have to start over again from a fresh iso keeping preset and any reg files added and post them. Unless they have something to hide.
I'm not sure what I would be hiding.. Lol. But you are correct in that I am gonna need to start again and rebuild my install from the very beginning.

kreemerz if you are going to start from scratch test without the tweaks first so you are sure whether or not they are the culprits.

Once a tweak in NTLite > Configure > Settings > Privacy was breaking the Windows setup. I broke my head thinking it was some component but it was a Privacy tweak, I think it was from a different version of Windows 10 that I was using. Since then I only apply a tweak if I know exactly what it does.

Then seemingly unlikely things happen.

Yeah, I gonna have to spend some time really digging around. I used one set of tweaks to get rid of the power saving feature and disable the sleep mode that Windows always creates. I don't like that feature.

Alright. Sometimes we have users who are very forgetful when they ask for help, and I tagged you as a wiser user.
There isn't a quota, but most of us give first-time or low-count posters more time to get up to speed in providing requested details.
