Sometimes UUP latest version (preview) is not officially supported yet outside Insider ring, ie. 22621.730 at written moment.
If want to be sure what's official supported build(s) - check MS latest release info here.
Information about the associated KB is also available for any need.

Regarding preset use i always test up against latest build.
Comparing NTL changelog to latest functional preset/ build to see if something not needed since last version and stay happy about fixes/ upgrades and ofc check NTLited image (including any usable changelog news about removals/ settings) is working as supposed.
Having one or more master presets you know is working (base presets) in NTL always generate a new Auto-generated preset when run NTL.
If everything is working just make the Auto-generated preset new default base preset for further use.

This way one can always have a functionally updated preset in relation to the latest NTL and/or Windows build version.
