Windows 11

Meanwhile i found a way to even install the Preview on an empty SSD. For that you have to download the newest Win10 Consumer 64-bit in English and only change the install.wim against the one from the Preview. No more checks at all and a perfect installation untill the Desktop shows up.:)

Probably because you ended up using win10's "appraiserres.dll" which was method 1 given on topic.. So you could just delete it from win11's iso.... Dont need to download anything.

all this hoohar just to get the damn ting installed, makes me wonder how bad its gonna be once it IS installed, probably a poo.

No no, i tried it already as you recommended but it's just not enough if you want to install on an empty SSD. With your recommendation it´s only possible to install it over an already existing Win10. I wrote all that already in this thread but it looks like you didn´t read my other posts thorough enough.

Then it can be about boot.wim idk you are the one with old pc. you should pin point exact file for us... it would take approx 1 hour to find the exact, file.. i don't care about these problems since i am not having them but i'm trying to help others

Thanks for your offer but i´m fine with my solutions at the moment and don´t feel any need for help until the final version of Win11 is released. The Preview is no standard for me.
solution will be the same with final version but if you don't want to help others then its ok.

you should add UUP Dump and also modified media creation tool to that thread and tidy a bit looks a bit confusing

UUP Dump is listing Windows 11 now... So anyone needs Win11 can take a look at it it will stay up to date as always

U can run OfflineEnroll for Dev channel to get updates once installed.

Edit: Confirmed, ALT+F4 at wifi connection part bypasses online account and lets u use local account on Windows 11 Home. Internet is disconnected ofc.

with 1 feature update a year only i wonder if they will drop the Long Term Service Branch/Channel models.
i wonder what the new "holy grail" edition will be, would be nice if it was regular Pro/Enterprise.
far too many editions, all you need is Home with all the social media glitz(pass me a bucket) and Pro/Enterprise without all that glitz.

All you need is an Xbox, it runs [Windows] and includes Edge and YouTube apps.
Updates are painless. You can even stream to your iPhone. Embrace the cloud.

ok, you buy me one then. im not a gamer so YDF do i need one? and how the dink am i supposed to edit video and audio on it?
the only cloud i am interested in is the one im gonna sit on when im playing me fken harp.

after this absolute gem your next suggestion is going to be a doozy. i cant wait.

Wait. I thought TikTok videos were a minute long? ;)

Yup definitely too many editions. They should be simple like only 2

Windows (For Personal Use At Home, School And Work) (All Modern Apps Should Be An Downloadable Option That Asked During OOBE)
Windows Pro (Again For Personal Use But With All The Extra Features And Bloatware sh*t For Devs)

You can bypass it via simple reg entry. Maybe it can be added to boot.wim... So I am more concerned about CPU restrictions rather than internet requirement or tpm requirement since they can already be bypassed easily

Must be weird to run native on a virtual machine. VirtualBox doesn't emulate TPM, whereas VMware does.

I can run it very well with my old QX9770, so the restrictions can´t be that hard, at least not in the Preview. I could also read today that microsoft is already working on lower CPU restrictions because of many people´s complaints.

Btw. Meanwhile a simple reg tweak on an USB Stick during installation took all my problems away:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\LabConfig]
"BypassTPMCheck"=dword:00000001
"BypassSecureBootCheck"=dword:00000001

It might be this what you also spoke about, which should be added to boot.wim if possible.
it is already in the post....

you only need to integrate to boot.wim? why u wasted time to integrate install.wim too?
