It would be better if all the files were put in 1 place only, post no1, correctly versioned, possibly packaged into a single zip file, rather than go treasure hunting on 50+ pages.
I agree, and I recommended it before (
link1), since that would be on mods or Txmmy, but he's been done with the thread for a long time, it's really just Garlin keeping the preset alive, otherwise it's generally too aggressive for most people and would have fizzled out, due to the combination of the masses not knowing how to troubleshoot it themselves and the lack of author support.
At this point it would be hugely beneficial to sift through all the pages, gather the "How to fix X" questions and other useful bits, then put a FAQ on the main post with all the answers, including a single updated XML that combines the current 4 existing versions, plus the reg file and PowerShell script as attachments with notes that they are optional and may cause issues.
I don't think this will happen though, which is why I recommended to
nuhi the idea of merging GamerOS into the NTLite templates after analyzing what's good and bad, or just add it as a special 5th template, then lock this thread and Nuhi can takeover support by focusing on component preservation compatibility.
The other tweaks are questionable or situational as discussed in previous replies (
link2), so they aren't important to preserve and will be removed if Nuhi converts this into an official template, since built-in templates only use component removals, and in this case it's not a big issue. This thread's registry file and PowerShell script can still be attached to the main post for download by anyone too.
